This is not true

I've been TOLD that Axl has done a interview with a UK magazine that explains the situation of chinese democracy and has set a sept 2008 release. My friend also told me the record company wants to film a GnR concert so they can package it with CD and that limited and bonus editions will be put out. Does the interview exist? Anyone got it if it does??

THIS IS UNSUBSTANTIATED AT THE MOMENT. DON"T THINK ANY INFO IS 100% OR EVEN SOURCED YET.

Wel, I just talked with Axl on the phone and he said he never did an interview.

If it isn't sourced or confirmed except by a friend who knows a friend who has connections with a record company CEO who golfs with Axl... don't bother us with it  peace

i call bullshit for a number of reasons, mainly the september date and why would the company want a concert to be filmed when we all know that every gnr concert has been filmed since like 1991?

Thats fair enough. I thought i'd make it clear that it wasnt 100%. But if they wanna delete it then they will. I don't think my friend would lie like that, he would have nothing to gain really, but we will see.

You got anything better to go on than 'a UK magazine'? What magazine is it?

Sounds unlikely, but hopefully Mysteron or someone in the know can confirm or deny.

stranger things have happened, but at this point there's no reason to believe that actually happened....

and i don't get the part where the company wants to film a concert, cuz they have footage from all of the last tour, so i don't know why'd they have to do another concert for those purposes. but it would still be good if it actually was true.

Compare the pro shot bootleg gigs (Chicago, Oklahoma etc) to the officially released show in Tokyo 92.  Tokyo had a lot more cameras and was generally produced better.  If your going to release something officially to the public then the video camera set up is a lot different and they wouldnt use a show from the vault.

I'm sure this is BS, but I could see the record company wanting to film a concert to include live versions of songs that haven't been performed yet.

I don't think a magazine would be the first to give the release date unless the September date would be just a guess by Axl (which would be bad, I guess). But this concert video makes sense:

Well said. One thing is just a ordinary concert registered in video, the other one is to produce something with good lightining, more camera work and well-thinking direction. Of course they could just edit several concerts togheter, but that would rather sound like a video version of live-era. Tongue
