Just an interesting note, If any of  you have a facebook account every day there is a "gift" you can give a friend, and it is usually 1 dollar or free.  Today's gift is a free can of dr. pepper (its just a picture that goes next to the persons profile).... not sure if this is part of a grand april fools joke or not.

This was an april fools joke posted on anti music.  They since posted it was a joke.

It isn't the Dr. Pepper thing that people thought was an April Fool's joke but AntiMusic posted yesterday saying there was a release date and that people who collected Dr. Pepper points or something could download it on the net.  That was an April Fool's joke that they recanted later.

Not so funny, IMO.

Not necessarily.  The Dr Pepper peoples admitted that their press released was leaked before it should have been so who's to say that it wasn't ORIGINALLY meant to be an April Fool's joke (by Dr Pepper) but when it got leaked and subsequently acknowledged by Axl, they couldn't back down.


I like Dr Pepper so I'll take the coupon from anyone who doesn't want theirs!!!

maybe it was months ago when  they first thought of it. but not when it was leaked.
The leak started on 25 when aol site found the blog. http://www.chinesedemocracywhen.blogspot.com/
They could back off at that point but instead, they posted the press release at their official site http://www.brandspeoplelove.com/ on 26, which stated 'no kid!'.  Cadbury and Schweppes would know the announcement should be given a lot of coverage by the likes of cnn money.
