"If" you want someone, you have to bid for them, whether they have debuted, or they are on the draft list (therefore a debutant just get's placed on the draft list), now to win that person, 48 hours has to go by without anyone else bidding on them.  So if you bid $20,00 for Vladimi, and 48 hours goes by and nobody else bids, you win him, it's a fair way of stopping people bidding at the last minute and it means you get someone when nobody else wants to bid for them.  Also it stops quick trades for people if you read they have a match on smackers.

Pick up you have upto a week, if you haven't picked up by then the last person on your team is replaced with them, chances are though you'll win the bidding (by thursday) and he'll probably be wrestling friday.
