Yeah the Lions are just pitiful.

They make bad draft choices, even though Cal J is a kepper, but Harrington never panned out.

The only thing they ever had was Barry Sanders and maybe Rodney Pete

Bad example Axl4prez as Matt Ryan is earning that money. He is helping resurrect that franchise.

Vernon Davis on the other hand and Alex Smith

Fuck, Let me be a GM of an NFL Team. I can do better than those jokes in SF.

I disagree D.  Ryan's been good not great and he did not earn the money he received.  It's a fucked-up system of money for rookies.  It needs to be changed.  Keep the players getting the same percentage of league revenue...just get the money to those who have produced on the field.  There is a better system out there.  They need to change the system.  There are many more Vernon Davis' than Matt Ryans'. (but I stand by my statement, both are overpaid)

Oh my fault.

sure rookies are getting way too much money. I do agree with that.

Matt Ryan though, he is earning his by changing that franchise and the Micheal Vick stigma. Shit, to be the QB after Vick, he deserves probably more than that. hihi

Goddamn Andy Reid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the running game hasn't worked all night, if Westbrook only has like 20 something yards rushing for the entire game, why the hell would you call two run plays back-to-back with less than 2 minutes to play??? ESPECIALLY when McNabb has been playing great. If anyone should be running it in that situation, it should be McNabb. Put the ball in the hands of your best player. This now makes the third game this year that the Eagles have lost all because they couldn't get a single fucking yard!!!!

I love Andy Reid. He's a great coach. He's turned the Eagles franchise around . . . But somebody else needs to start calling the plays in Philadelphia.

Had to get this thread moving again..... there's no way an NBA thread can rank higher than America's Sport.

I predict a blowout tonight, so I placed a c-note on NE-3.5.

Can't wait for Sunday Night Football.... Tony Romo gets to pad his INT stats a little more, woohoo!

Why the fuck do teams still play that dumb ass Prevent Defense?

All it does is "PREVENT" u from winning the game.

Jets let NE basically walk in the end zone and put that game in OT.

I don't know what the jets were thinking especially on that last play. If Moss is covered there better no way he catches that ball game over.

I'm happy the Jets won but their kind of lucky they came away with the win. The Patriots completely shut down the Jets for the entire second half.

Definitely Brett's best game as a Jet.  (The 6-TD AZ game was a mirage.)

Another hard fought game that makes you wish the NFL would get rid of sudden-death OT.

wave  Hi faldor!  Hi high_times!  wave
Hello!

That was a tough loss.  Jets are in command in the AFC East now.  Exciting game though.  We were going nuts in the stands.  But once the Jets won the toss, it was over.  All those 3rd down conversions.  Killer!  Cassel has really developed quite nicely.  He is no longer a question mark.  The defense on the other hand, they haven't come along quite so much.

I could see you just chilling at Foxboro, with your feet up, telling everyone around you to settle down.

"Favre's gonna thrown an INT, relax people!"

Cassel to Moss- that was beautiful.

I'm already looking forward to training camp next year.  Brady vs. Cassel  drool

I was expecting/hoping for a Favre INT, but it was not to be.  He's usually good for a couple a game, but not last night.  Cassel could cash in as a free agent in the off-season.  It'll be interesting to see if the Pats put up the cash to keep him as a backup, or if he'd want to be a backup anymore.  Not sure he'd be as good as he has been, playing with the Lions or some other horrendous organization, but he may earn his chance.

You can't take away anything that Tom Brady has accomplished.  He's the best quarterback in the game today, bar none.  With that being said, the "system" in place certainly helps.  Add to the fact he had guys like Welker and Moss to throw to last season sure helped in him have a record breaking season.  Cassel still has the same options, so he's having some success.  The guy has played behind Palmer, Leinart, and Brady and been on many championship teams over the last 9 years.  That's gotta help a little.  He's not exactly a chump.  So NO, Brady's legacy will not be tarnished whatsoever.  If he was starting this year, I'd be willing to bet the Patriots would be far and away the leader in the AFC.  So while Cassel has done better than most expected, he's not about to steal Tom's job.
