Thanks to Billy Morrison for the following

www.billymorrison.net/weblog

I am pleased to be able to tell you that Camp Freddy will be taking over the world famous Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles every Thursday night during the month of May for our very first residency. Each week we will perform a different set list and the evenings performance will culminate with two or three songs featuring our very special guests of the night. We will NOT be advertising these guests in advance. The band will be joined each week by our good friend, and longtime Camp Freddy cohort, Mr Mark McGrath. Mark will perform each week with us and will join Donovan in hosting the evenings festivities. I am sure that a friend or two might appear onstage at each gig as well. Tickets WILL be available to everyone and I will give you all more details when we have them. Lastly, the CFR Podcast page has been updated and the recent shows are now available.

Scott is actually a "core" member of CF so it'll be interesting to see
how his current situation (rehab/STP) effects any Freddy commitments.
I'll be curious to see how/if he interacts with Matt and if there's any visible fall out with their relationship.

I virtually guarranty Slash will make an appearance or 2, along Billy Duffy, Steve Jones and a few surprises..

^^From MTV...

Camp Freddy, the cover band featuring Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, ex-Cult bassist Billy Morrison and Velvet Revolver's Matt Sorum and Scott Weiland, will be taking over Los Angeles' Roxy Theatre "every Thursday night during the month of May for our very first residency," the band reports. "Each week we will perform a different set list, and the evening's performance will culminate with two or three songs featuring our very special guests of the night. We will not be advertising these guests in advance. The band will be joined each week by our good friend and longtime Camp Freddy cohort [Sugar Ray's] Mark McGrath." ...

There's no tour dates scheduled for May, as of now.  Why wouldn't Scott be there?

CAMP FREDDY Announces West Hollywood Residency - Apr. 24, 2008

CAMP FREDDY ? the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring Dave Navarro (ex-JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT bassist, current CIRCUS DIABLO vocalist), Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan), and Chris Chaney (JANE'S ADDICTION, ALANIS MORRISETTE) ? will take over the Sunset Strip in May when it headlines a Thursday night residency at The Roxy in West Hollywood. The five shows ? May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 ? are presented by Indie 103.1 in association with Galpin Auto Sports and Velvet Angels. CAMP FREDDY will be joined by a different array of surprise guests every week as they dive into a treasure trove of classic songs encompassing glam, punk and hard rock. True to the CAMP FREDDY experience, you never know who or what will happen at their gigs. The residency will feature Mark McGrath (SUGAR RAY) every week, and some of the confirmed special guests include (in alphabetical order):

Nuno Bettencourt (EXTREME)
Brandon Boyd (INCUBUS)
Warren DeMartini (RATT)
Billy Duffy (THE CULT)
Steve Jones (SEX PISTOLS)
Juliette Lewis
Moby
Stephen Perkins (JANE'S ADDICTION)
Brett Scallions (FUEL)
Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS)

CAMP FREDDY fans have come to expect some very special collaborations ? spontaneous and unbridled?at the band's shows.

"We play some of the greatest rock and roll songs ever written, have a real laugh doing it, and invite artists that we respect to play them with us," notes CAMP FREDDY in its mission statement. "It's the real spirit of rock and roll."

In advance of the residency, The Roxy has sponsored a contest via its web site to find the best local bands to open the shows. The top ten bands chosen by the venue will be voted on by fans in the coming weeks; each winning band will have the opportunity to open for CAMP FREDDY at one show in May. The top ten bands are: DRIVE A, RIOT: NOISE, KILLED BY DESIGN, LOVE SAID NO, ATTIC OF LOVE, MOVING PICTURE SHOW, LIFE AFTER MARY, MELOTIA and WICKHEAD.

Since their formation six years ago when they rocked the opening of The Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles at the invitation of Brent Bolthouse, CAMP FREDDY have performed on both coasts of America and on national television shows ("The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn", "Last Call with Carson Daly"). CAMP FREDDY also hosts a weekly radio show on Los Angeles' acclaimed Indie 103.1 every Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

I know.  I took it as that.  (see laughing smiley)  eh - maybe you should just delete these last 3 posts - I'd delete mine, but then you're last one might look kind of funny by itself.
