Axl's voice is great on this song...Very pronounciated, drags out the vocals especially the  title..

Love that song!  Just has a catchy rhythm & words.  And love the fact Izzy sings it!

Yesterdays:
Strange song..Very touching lyrics sang in Axl's scratchy voice..Reading the lyrics before hand one would expect it to sound like Patience..This makes it unique, and a great gons..Once again great lyrics, almost as though Axl is singing it today about the AFD/UYI lineup(s).

awesome Cover for Aerosmith original.  It was part of one of the best concert moments for me in GNR history when played live in Paris with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Makes me want have a party every time I listen to it

It's Alright Live Era:

Its cool for what it is, which is pretty much a warm up before November Rain....would have liked to hear a studio version of this song as a b-side at some point but it never happened....

Double Talkin' Jive:
After hearing numerous live versions prior to UYI I was expecting Axl to have one of his pattented screams before the Slash solo.Instead it was a scream w/ some sought of vocal dubbing. Still a cool song, almost doesn't sound like Axl on the album..Also liked the live version.."You dig what I'm sayin' HomeFuck"!..
Patience: Personaly I remember sitting in school anticipating to get home for the MTV  debut  that afternoon.

My World?  I'll be nice...not my cup of tea.  I read somewhere Axl was on shrooms when he wrote that...probably isn't true.

A favorite of mine!  Love the lyrics.  Love the whole song!  I love the "in your face" attitude of it!  I probably listen to it almost every day, in one form or another.

TAY:
The ugly step sister of SCOM..Would be a stand out song on another album, but SCOM is nothing short of a CLASSIC in so many genres..Also like how it starts of w/ a muffled "Sweet Child"....

Hair of the Dog: I love the "Give me a little volume on this"

This is one of my (many) all time favorite songs, and I love GnR's rendition of it.  Yeah, from "Give me a little bit of volume on this", to the way they speed it up at the end, to the "Daytripper solo" at the end.  They definitely gave it the hardass edge that this song so deserves and is.  I always turn the volume WAY up when listening to this one!

Ah, "Attitude". Classic Misfits song. Duff's vocals are great on this one, and I saw an excellent live video of it actually a few weeks ago on the internet somewhere. Anyway, great song, and great cover version.

Right Next Door to Hell:

The original 'New Rose' is an absolute classic, and was the first officially recognised UK punk single, and i've had the luck of seeing the Damned play live twice, and they RULE!!!  It isn't bad production, it's just a very very raw sound.....

Anyway, Right Next Door To Hell: Excellent album (and concert) opener, full of energy and a set of kick-ass lyrics matched by Slash's mean riffs. The speed of the song just accelerates the power!!!

A very little heard song, I think.  Very much 80's GnR.  It's ok.  Not a favorite of mine.

One of the best from 'Live Like A Suicide', an interesting early GN'R song, cool live (though it annoys me when on the tokyo gig and live 'era they have a trumpet solo on it which seems to go on and on ad on and on and on................)

I remember hearing for the 1st time while opening packs of baseball cards..Although not the 1st time I heard the words NIGGER and FAGGOTS, it was the 1st time I heard them in a song. I was shocked and I remember rewinding it on the TAPE RECORDER to confirm what I had heard.
Months later the ENQUIRER ran a story (probably fake), on how the KKK endorsed GN'R because of One in a Million.
I also recall them being shunned from an AIDS benefit show at NYC's Radio City Music Hall because of the song. Ironically in 1991/1992 GN'R would film Nov. Rain at that very venue!
On the famous Eddie Trunk interview Axl speaks about the resistence he originally encountered from the organizers and Elton John at the Freddie Mercury show.
One in Million has yet to be pulled from LIES..It's not a classic GN'R song and I'm glad it has mostly been forgotten instead of being their legacy.
The real shame is how all the critics picked on them for a few lines, we know what they are, and forgot the line: "Radical and Racists, don't point your fingers at me, I'm just a small town white boy trying to make ends meet".

Not sure what the "current" live version would be, but I'm basing this on a show from 2006.  First, GnR's version of KOHD (in any era) is the most awesome, hands down, in my book, anyway.  More recent version   -  Axl gives a much more soulful version of it.   He stopped doing the "I, I, I, I, I" in between, which was sort of irritating, but I find myself wanting to sing it, anyway, because I'm so used to it.  Liked it.
