it sounds like its Finck playing when the song switches, the way he stresses the solo live sounds similar, but who really knows ..........

Why people even have doubts if it's Robin when we all know for sure it's him? Despite the obvious common sense (because his playing and tone is 100% recognizable), I'm pretty sure there is a lot of articles on HTGTH main page stating it is indeed Robin. Tongue

3:17 and 3:18 , the bends are real nasty.

I don't believe there's a reason...

i've always thought the old band played the first part, then the new band starts playing at about 3 minutes. the tone seems different to me before and after 3 minutes. Nothing wrong with Robin's bends, by the way. If you want to hear a really ridiculous and out of tune bend, listen to the Slash's solo on you could be mine (near the end, there's a bend that hurt my ears): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVV0qlukPVw

From what I hear NR Slash is the best

BH is really good , but doesn't fit the song , his note choice.

Bubmlefoot is by far the lower of the 3 to me , the tone is off , and its random shredding.

Nightrain.........Sorry but come on Slash OWNS that solo. Once again BH comes 2nd , very close second at that though , it's his note choice that throws me off I favor the blues'y style of Slash compared to BH note choice , his tremolo picking is bad ASS though.  'Foot is once again last to me , he is just hitting stuff at least BH made it into his own creation.

I didn't see YCBM anywhere there?

Buckethead owns them ALL, especially NT! Go listen to Rio 2001 and HOB 2001.......Slash 2nd, Ron distant 3rd...

I think BH and Slash have such different styles it's really what appeals to your ear , if you like BH note choice you chose him if you like Slash's you chose him.
