Waiting for Promised Land....

I think Brain preferred to stay at home and spend time with his own family and their newborn child, rather than tour ...

I would think that is correct. He laid most of the tracks on Serj Tankian's new album, and Serj then had to get another drummer for his tour.

Yes, and additionally Beta has said that Brain not touring with GN'R had everything to do with his baby and that Brain is still very much in touch with the GN'R camp on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  I think everything is cool on the Brain-GN'R tip.

maybe he meant he's going to get back AT Axl...
I think the word is Axl had Frank and B-Foot contribute to the album after they had been touring w/ the band..So there may still be some B-Head N' Brain on CD.

most of the cd will be bh and brain...ron and frank did a a few days of work....brain is far and away a better drummer...

Yeah, I remember when he left the story was he would rejoin the band when the album was set to come out.  So I guess, Chinese Democracy starts NOW???

I don't know how legit that story was, but that was the word.

we (the fans) have no idea about how much ron and and frank recorded.. i'm sure the record is mostly brain, but i'm not so sure that there will be any BH, if there is much BH it's fine to me since he's among the greatest guitarists ever, but i think i read that frank and ron recorded between the europeean and NA tours and after the NA tour.. Del said that all recording was done back in march last year i think but who knows they might have added more stuff if it was better then was already there, now the record is finished though, that's all we know. time will tell

As much as I love Frank, I think Brain is great for the band and would love to see him back. Brain's drumming on Mr. Brownstone alone merits himself an invitation to the band, imo.

I thought he was just on maternity leave. Wasn't he always going to come back?

I like Brain as a drummer but I think Frank's style and performance fits the band so much better. They are both brilliant drummers but Frank's personality and stage presence suits Guns N' Roses so much more.

Maybe they can throw Brain on some other percusion and make him like the "New" Zig Zag.  hihi

That was the plan, but he didn't come back and then was published as "Ex-Guns N' Roses Drummer", however the band still considers Brain as an official member. Both Frank and Brain are official members.

I like both drummers no offense Frank but I prefer Brain but why can't both of them be on the record ? it would be fair to both cause they both recorded parts on the album.  Promotion wise they could promote use both players.

The most exciting thing, if this is true, is that there is a reason for Brain to get back with Axl in 2008!

Discounting the grammar issues (no one's perfect), has anyone noticed that the original poster didn't even read the email correctly. It doesn't say he's "planning" to get back. It says he's "trying." There's a big difference there. But I'm sure we're about to have 16 pages of speculation on this topic anyway.

Axl N' Roses? New GN'R?

Wait...I'm here for Guns N' Roses. There's no Axl N' Roses or New GN'R. If somebody dislikes Guns N' Roses is his/her problem but don't invent names...

P.S.: I prefer Ferrer.

it was said that Brain is on CHINESE DEMOCRACY so that would make him, Still, in the band. If he wasn't then if history has tought us anything its that Axl would have held onto CD longer so that he could get all of franks drums on there. Since the album is in i think that Brain is still in G'n'R and frank is nothing more than a replacement at the time.

Brain is cool, Frank is cool.   Either way, GnR has a solid drummer which is a dept that has been lacking in the past.

BRAIN is a far superior drummer than FRANK.  Hopefully Buckethead follows him back!  That would be perfect!

Brain already said that as far as he knows, he's still on 90% of the album. Smiley

he did say something like this last year too in an interview with the EMS guys.. that he was gonna "rock out in 2007" (with axl) but since the record wasn't out or ready to be released he stayed with his family
