In Camp Rock 2 (the movie and the soundtrack), during a song called "Heart and Soul" the line:
"If you can scream like
Axl Rose
,
or you can sing like Christina, show after show
If you've got heart and soul
You can rock and roll"
About 3/4 of the way through the song.
My kids get all excited when they hear the Axl mention.
Edit: The full lyrics if anyone cares:
Oh!
Yeahh
Oh right
Mmmmhmm
Gather round guys,
It?s time to start listenin?
Pratice makes perfect but
Perfect?s not workin?
There?s a lot more to music
Than knowing where your cue?s gonna be
You can play all the right notes
But that don?t mean you?re moving me
But if you can jump like David Lee Roth
Or pump your fist like you?re Bruce the Boss
If you?ve got heart and soul
You can rock n? roll
Rock n? roll
Strum it, drum it, slide across and run it
The stage is your home if you learn how to own it
Like the greats did
There?s no way that you can fake it
You?ve gotta feel the beat before you can move
Even though you?re not wearing blue suede shoes
And making mistakes
But that won?t matter
If you can swagger like ol? Mick Jagger
If you?ve got heart and soul
You can rock n? roll
You can rock n? roll
Solo
[INSTRUMENTAL]
If you live and die for the music inside
If the 1-4-5 never gets old
Then you can rock n? roll
Rock n? roll
Alright, now take it low
Now I need the spotlight to hit me,
Right here
As the crowd starts to cheer
I need the fan to blow right through my rockstar hair,
Right here
If you can scream like Axl Rose
Or sing like Xtina show after show
If you?ve got heart and soul
You can rock n? roll, yeah
If you?ve got heart and soul
You can rock n? roll
You can rock n? roll
Ooo yeah
You can rock n? roll
That's actually not bad I wish I thought of something cool like that for once I will give those Jonas Brothers props.
Maybe after there Disney days are done they might actually try REAL ROCK N' ROLL!!!
But I don't think that's gonna happen they are to stupid and lame to try rocking out and not to a crowd of 10 year old girls.

Unfortunately for me....I have one of those "10 year old girls" in my house (actually, she's 8 ).
And the 3 kids do have influence over what music gets played in our car, especially when we're doing stuff as a family.
But I did think it was a neat tribute from a source you wouldn't necessarily expect.
I actually noticed the lyric this past Saturday when we were headed out to the local theme park and we had the Camp Rock 2 soundtrack in. The funny part is: We'd gone to the Jonas Brothers/Camp Rock 2 concert with the kids on August 13th, they played the song, and I didn't notice at all. I guess the earplugs I had in might have had something to do with it.
I doubt the Jonas Brothers will amount to much more than a "New Kids on the Block" type of boy band. We'll see.....

Haha that is o so true I bet there managers or there momie had to tell them who half the people they were singing about
I remember once someone told me I looked like one of them let's say I punched him in the face
I hope parents don't let them get to much involved with that as we all know it's just part of Disney making a crap load of money I can't begin to explain how many good things they runined but some they did well.
I hope they don't fund for the GNR tour in the US
That's how the would will end Disney taking over GNR!!!

How 'bout another radio intro.? Sean Hannity's radio show used the intro. to Paradise City coming in from a commercial break...it was a good 10 to 15 seconds in length. I heard this getting out of work a little after 3:30 on Thursday, September 2nd. "That was some Guns N' Roses to get us started up..."
perhaps we've got a closet GNR fan with Hannity?

Will Ferrell was on "Lopez Tonight" last night and said he had a baby boy with his wife that they named Axel. He said that they didn't name him after Guns N' Roses (Axl), they wanted their 3 sons to have Swedish names, since his wife is Swedish.

On 'How I Met Your Mother' tonight Barney was telling Ted how "new is always better". Ted disagrees and asks "So this theory applies to everything?" Then asks "So those new Star Wars movies are better than the old ones?" And then gives another example asking "So when you're at a Guns N' Roses concert, you're like, yeah, yeah, Paradise City...when are they going to rock me some Chinese Democracy?" Barney says, "Axl has really matured as a song writer, Ted."

The writers on that show must be GNR fans. They made a Slash mention last season.

It says she was arrested after she "set car on fire after 2009 guns'n roses concert". The sign below says Steuben County. Minor typo on the name though, unless they were supposed to be some tribute band. Anyway, after the mugshot goes away she says "pfff chinese democracy" as if she didn't like it.

Watching Eastbound and Down on HBO and there's a part that Kenny Powers respondes by singing "YourCrazy, Your Fucking Crazy"..Not sure if it was a homeage to GN'R or not..Any one else catch it?

Isn't that a cool coincidence seeing as how GN'R played Blue Moon the Manchester City song, as an intro to the concert a few weeks ago.

Actually, I heard Welcome To The Jungle before City - United too. I was like "What the fuck???" And then I was "Blue moon intro in Manchester... Maybe it's kinda Liam or Noel tribute."

I caught that too...sounded like an homage as Kenny was definitely singing the verse...nice to know that we have our little Gn'R ants spread throughout the world picking up on every little thing in the Gn'R universe....OH...and Kenny Powers is so f'n funny...love that Show!!!!

There's an odd reality show here in Brazil called "A Fazenda" (something like "The Farm"), with pseudo-celebrities doing farm stuff and eating each other (not really, but that's what everyone wants).
Everytime there's some tension in the air, it plays the very beggining of Right Next Door To Hell - actually only Duff's bass riff in a loop. And I always wait for the whole song and it never appears.
