Last night I watched "Hot Tub Time Machine", not bad movie!  Wink

And there's a little reference of G'n'R! In scene where John Cusack (Adam) doing various of drugs, after his girlfriend dumped him, he was writing some lyrics and Clark Duke came up ti him and commented on what he wrote. John said (correct me if I'm wrong) something like: "You can recite those and put it on with Sweet Childe O'mine tune"!  ok

A week ago, on the new 90210, there was a reference to GNR.  Adreinna was asked to audition for a band who has a member whose dad was in Guns N Roses.

I don't know what's worse....admitting to watching this smut, or that everyone is that much older.........

Who was his/her dad?  Ole Beich?
Who knows propobly one of the one time players before they got big or the guy during the Use Your Illusions tour that replaced Izzy for a little while but I hate it when there are no specifics.

Joe

There are no specifics because it's a fictional TV show and the story wasn't true to begin with.
I realize that, but the guys from Guns N' Roses (original lineup) are pretty well known.  If they used a band where the members are less prominent maybe it wouldn't be an issue.
True but it still was a nice thing to see.

Ha, I still love Jimmy for his enthusiasm and excitement at the 2002 VMA's.

Well, not exactly movie or TV, but oh well...

I knew the game Mega Man X3 (I guess for Super Nintendo) had a lot of references about Guns N' Roses (one of the enemies is called Slash Man), but I'm kinda surprised they used My Michelle as the stage music (obvious in suckass 16 bit electronic sound):

Just watching an episode of QI (the awesome comedy/quiz show), and Stephen Fry asks Bill Bailey (the comedian) if he knows of any other people who share his name and Bill mentions that it's Axl's real name. Alan Davies then says that "Guns N' Baileys" would've sounded rubbish. Cheesy

EDIT: Actually, it's here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0c53X6WRLg) at 1:37. Grin

There was a small Axl Rose mention on The Howard Stern Show earlier this week.  Courtney Love was a guest and Howard asked her if she had trouble remembering the lyrics while performing.  She said she did sometimes so she used a teleprompter.  And the "embarrassing part" was she "bummed it from Axl Rose."  Then she laughed wildly.

Before the interview, Howard was pissed at Courtney because she was an hour late.  And he was talking about how tough it must be to be her publicist, or someone like her. That made me think of Axl too, just because of the lateness.

Yeah it was a joke.  Instead of the sounds, they had Axl singing to the ocean, wolf and owl.  It was kind of funny.
