There's a GNR reference in a 1989 movie called Immediate Family.

Married With Children -- Al was once a member of a band in which he called himself Axl Bundy.

Married With Children -- Bud sold a pair of sunglasses to Kelly under the guise that she could use them to view a shirtless Axl.

America's Funniest Home Videos -- I once saw a little kid wearing a UYI 2 t-shirt.

MTV Death Match (was that what it was called?) -- there was an Axl v. Slash match

The Newz -- they used to have this comedy skit featuring Jennifer Aniston in which she played a GN'R groupie.  Andy Dick played Axl, but I forget who played Slash.

Full House -- the kids were watching a music awards show and bet whether or not the band would even find the stage.

SNL -- Matt Damon did an Axl skit.

SNL -- there was once an Axl / Sebastian Bach skit for toddlers (I think).

Wheel of Fortune -- Guns N' Roses was the answer to one of their puzzles.

Guiding Light (or one of those soap operas) -- way back circa the late '80s one of the cast members blared "Nigtrain" on his Walkman.

Doonesbury (comic strip) -- one of the characters had a GN'R t-shirt.

Foxtrot (comic strip) -- Peter had a dream which featured Axl, Slash, and Stephanie Seymour

Foxtrot (comic strip) -- Peter was deciding what music to listen to...one choice was GN'R.

Snapple commercial -- there's a Snapple commercial featuring a rock band that looks oddly inspired by GN'R.

u mean the dead pool, not dirty harry, and that was mentioned. Smiley

I also hope (as a fan), that Guns will be mentioned. But I see it this way

a)before relising the album, mentions like
Two guys talking
-We'll have to wait
-Hope not like for Chinese Democracy...

b)after relising:
Wich I don't know how it's gonna look like, but after all these posts I red, I'm a little bit sceared. Maybe not the studio album, but live shows.
Nevermind, 'cause I'm loosing the topic.

I guess, old and new Guns will be mention for years and years.

Also GNR is mentioned in a movie called "rock n roll detective" or something like that.

Maybe you mean The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane? http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098987

GN'R is mentioned in that one.

Axl was mentioned on Craig Kilburn show last night (Why I was watcing, I dont even know)  Some guy named Roberto Rodriguez was on, he does most of the Spy Kids Soundtrack I think they said.  Anyway, they changed the subject to music and Kilborn was like, "You can sing like Axl Rose?" but the guy said no so Kilbron was talking out of his ass.

Conan O' brien's band play paradice city.  Conan said,"Yea a little Guns N' Roses" and then he compared Axl's snake dance to a hose going crazy.

In the new movie "The Real Cancun", they play parts of Paradise City right before a party scene.

I didn't see this mentioned in this thread, although I know it was mentioned on here somewhere before, but in one of the MegaMan X games..I can't remember exactly which one...all of the boss characters have names that are spinoffs on the GN'R members..which is pretty fucking cool:

Axl The Red (I think they spelled it Axel or Axle)
Duff McWhalen
Grizzly Slash
Squid Adler
Mattrex

and I can't remember the others right now...there should be about 3 more....but their names just...escape me (yes, GN'R reference intended there)

I almost fell off my couch, when I heard Guns and Roses mentioned in the movie "First Wives Club", my friend and I were both watching that old movie last night, and both our mouths opened up wide. How many other movies mention GNR? love
