Did anyone see Walk Hard?
There's a point where John C. gets super obsessed with making a new album...spends 8 years recording one song, grows a beard, and kicks all of the band members out.
Thought the story sounded similar to someone else we know.

not to mention the Californication one, were a publisher tells Hank Moody "your new book is becoming the Chinese Democracy of book, when is it coming out?"
Chinese Democracy got atleast 2 different mentions on that show!

it's sick how many gnr references there have been in simpsons episodes, just watched one where apu gets octoplets or something and they show the kids in a zoo or circus i wasn't paying attention, and they pretend that all the babies have different personas, and one baby was the rebel baby and then they played wlecome to the jungle

In the new EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly), there's an interview with the producer of 'Burnout: Paradise', and the last question is "When is Guns N' Roses' 'Chinese Democracy' coming out?" and the guys answers with "Now THAT's a question!" Just thought it was random...

Grimsby runner tackles Sahara trek
The mountains didn?t get to her. Neither did the sandstorms. And when the blisters started showing up, she just soldiered on.
In fact, Grimsby runner Andrea Lynn Sloan is already thinking about her next challenge after completing the gruelling Marathon Des Sables this week.
Sloan ran with a 10.5-kilogram backpack of supplies, including bars of oatmeal for breakfast and freeze-dried food for dinner.
Each day, the race would start around 9 a.m. and continue through scorching heat ? up to 51?C on the hottest day.
Heat wasn?t a problem for Sloan, who arrived in Ouarzazarte, Morocco two days before the race to get acclimatized and found the 30?C city temperatures chilly. While others were shedding clothes for shorts, she was wearing a jacket and looked forward to warming up in the desert.
But at night, temperatures would dip to zero and Sloan wore thermal silk pyjamas with a sleeping bag wrapped around her body.
Runners tackled a different length of race each day, ranging from 17.5 kilometres to a torturous 75 kilometres.
That longest stretch took 25 hours to complete. Sixteen hours into that stage, Sloan said she started hallucinating that Axl Rose was singing Paradise City in front of her.
That?s when she knew it was time to take a two-hour break at the next rest stop.

Hello everyone! I watched movie "The Kingdom" (Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner) about 2 weeks ago. And there is one Axl's reference:
When Foxx's team arrive in the gym for the first time, Jennifer Garner tells Jason Bateman
"You're in the jungle now baby!"
to which he responds
"Hey Axl you got anymore of those lollipops?"
!
For me, it was the only thing good in a movie!
