yes, it has less upfront keyboards for one and just overall better songs.

new jersey is half good, way too many slow songs. slippery is ok, keyboards spoil it

You should read a book called life on planet rock by Lonn Friend. In this book he talks about Jon Bon Jovi talking him into hawking bon jovi dvds on qvc and then not paying him but 1000. Did you hear that selling dvds on qvc while one of there lame concerts is taking place. Now Lonn only did this because he was desperate for money and thought that Jon  was a good friend who would not rip him off. Real Rock Stars (Axl Rose, Mick Jagger, Eddie Van Halen, Steven Tyler ect...) would never, ever, ever peddle there music on a home shopping channel. Ever. Because they know that fat house wives would never be interested in their art. Jon Bon Jovi is so, so, lame.

The only thing I have to say about that ridiculously stupid post is:

Check the box office

BJ had one of the biggest tours on HAND, the sold nearly 300,000 albums first week of Lost Highway in the US and they sell out every single show they play no matter how big the stadium or arena.

Must be nice to be irrelevent like that.

I dont care if people hate Bon Jovi

When they spew ignorant stuff I get pissed off.

BJ are not irrelevant

Irrelevant bands dont Debut at Number 1

Irrelevant bands dont open a brand new arena with 10 sold out 18,000 people shows

Irrelevant bands arent the first to be asked to play in the new Wembley Arena *it didnt happen due to delays but they were still to be the first*

U can hate BJ with all your heart and so ul but to try and diminish their accomplishments and longetivity is complete bullshit and unfair.

I do.

In my opinion Keep The Faith is the strongest album they've ever released. They took the good things about their music from the 80's and modernized their sound without departing too much from what made their earlier albums so good.
I'd love to hear another album on par with Keep The Faith.

Yes, this is how mediocre Bon Jovi was in the 90s:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lr46PYhyWXE

Are you fuckin' kidding me dude? In terms of both creative and live power, Bon Jovi was at its peak during the 90s. Keep The Faith and These Days legitimized Bon Jovi as a band with something real to say. None of that 80s fluff could do that...

I thought about this last night when i had the song in my head and i thought about it.. you know bed of roses.. most songs about love is IMO about feeling sorry for yourself, and that's ok..? but bed of roses takes the price.. i mean "As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead " what's that about? hihi and i'm serious..

they still put out pretty good music, I think in the 90's-they didn't totally try to change their sound (Def Leppard-Slang)-Keep the Faith came out in 92 or 93-right when Alt. and grunge were peaking, and it still managed to do pretty good-they had a big hit with Always on the greatest hits album-These Days was kind of overlooked by the general public, but I still really liked the album-Jon changed his sound and to me put out what I thought was a great album with Destination Anywhere-I haven't cared much for the last few albums, but everyone is not supposed to like the same thing.

just saw bon jovi live here at edmonton for my first time ever, and i gotta say that it was the best concert ive ever been to.  i know there are a lot of bon jovi haters here but you can't deny the fact that they are one of the top bands in the world today and put on a damn good show.  id say guns n roses and bon jovi were both 10/10 performances but i had much better seats for bon jovi and was so close to the stage!  and i didnt get scammed off that stubhub site thank god!

That doesn't mean that it couldn't be very well marketed crap.

Many artist do debut at number 1 or otherwise very well..e.g. Timberlake and other crap artists and bands do debut well but I could say that they are still irrelevant.

In my opinion Bon Jovi was good in the 80's and in the early 90's.

Today Bon Jovi is more of a pop band for little teenage girls who are suffering teenage dilemmas.

Please, don't take this as offense. I still respect Bon Jovi that lived in 80's

Well, I'm in my 30s, so either I haven't grown up or there is something more to his music...........

Sometimes we need to do/can do some generalisations.

e.g if there are 60% people thinking about today's Bon Jovi is for teenage dilemmas and 40% people thinking today's bon Jovi is for adult rock band then we can easily make some generalisations as I did..

but anyhow, it's good to see that Bon Jovi is still going so strong.

I guess maybe Jon is just smarter than most cause he sure has found  a way to keep Bon Jovi great and popular for over 25 years.

500,000 copies sold in 3 weeks of Lost highway which is an amazing album. It has ZERO POP on it thank u very much.

I love how people probably don't even listen to the album and make generalizations.
