They've been successful for 23 years, still go multiplatinum and still sell out every single show. They must be doing something right.

Bono was on there also so....................

Is it really THAT different than bands doing American Bandstand back in the day? U do stuff on TV for exposure. They are promoting an album, they have a chance to not only expose their back catalog but their new stuff to 30 million people who may not be hardcore BJ fans plus they get exposed to a newer generation.

Jon might sell out but he dont sell out cheap. Give him some credit for that.

Official, the single everyone hates that I like...

It debuted at #27 in the country this week, that is a strong debut for a band that came out in 1984

WOW, I am speechless. I love this fucking song personally and for it to debut that high is amazing.

American idol definitely helped people get exposed to it which is a good thing.

Maybe Bon Jovi can finally get the respect they deserve on this forum.

Bon Jovi's "(You Want To) Make a Memory" is the chart's top debut at No. 27, the highest opening of its long career. The track sold 51,000 digital downloads following the band's recent performance of it on "American Idol."

Bon Jovi Touring, Just Not Until 2008

Jon Bon Jovi says fans who are disappointed in his band's light touring schedule for 2007 will be rewarded in their patience in 2008.

"There's going to be a real tour, but not 'til next year," Bon Jovi tells Billboard.com. "They're routing it now. I think it's Japan and Australia for January into mid-February, then the States. Early spring in Europe we'll be outdoors, then outdoors in America -- the usual kind of run that we do."

As previously reported, the band's country-flavored new album, "Lost Highway," is due June 19, but the vocalist won't be touring immediately because his family is preparing to move from the Rumson, N.J., area to Manhattan and he wants time to settle everybody.

"It's part of my growth period," Bon Jovi explains. "My wife and I just want to make the change. We're not selling our house here; we're just moving to New York. It's one of those kinds of things. The kids'll go to school here. It's a big change."

Bon Jovi will still be visible once "Lost Highway," which features collaborations with Big & Rich and LeAnn Rimes, comes out. He's planning a TV blitz that will include "Today" on June 19, "The View" on June 20, "Ellen" on June 21-22 and "Larry King Live." There will be some spot shows, including Milwaukee's Summerfest, the Live Earth show July 7 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and a 10-night stand to help open the new Prudential Center in Newark this fall.

The band will also tape a version of "Unplugged" that's slated to be shown on MTV, VH1 and CMT later this year. "I think because it's going to be on all three, I'm gonna over-record a lot of songs and then give them different programming," says Bon Jovi, who plans to augment his band with other instrumentalists and hopefully the guests from "Lost Highway." "I'll get LeAnn to come up, maybe Big & Rich to come up. It'll be a free for all -- why not?"

BON JOVI - AUSTRALIAN TOUR - DID I READ CORRECTLY?!?!?!?!!    Cheesy

I hope they go back to their old school set and cut out the horrible TLFR versions of I'll Be There For You etc..

I heard that Jon's voice really made a good recovery towards the end of the HAND tour? What I heard on the few boots I downloaded wasn't crash hot. Still it's an awesome live show to see  ok

His voice has definitely came back around. He hit the huge high note both times on Make A Memory Live and he was flawless.

I think you may be right about that being the best performance of that song D .

For a band that is very good live that live album was a let down , they could have done a better job with the selection of what was used .

Dry County

The song that proves Jon can write epic songs if he wants and not just radio friendly songs. And no outside writers were on this.

I hate when people say that. If Bon Jovi's only hits were the handful of songs they did with Desmond, I could see, but they have so many number 1 songs and hits written by Jon or jon and Richie.

Richie's Guitar work is Amazing and shows the guitar Hero he is.

I loved TLFR, I thought it was excellent. The Live DVD is even better.

It may be a bit hard to track down now, but I saw that DVD in Australia for sale around the time the album TLFR was released. They also showed bits of the dvd on channel 10 late one night too.

And you call yourself a Bon Jovi fan?! hihi

I'm surprised to hear Bon Jovi might be trekking down under next year too, I thought Jon said they didn't have a big enough fan base here or something... rofl

Which DVD? TLFR or The London 95?

Dry County for some reason isnt on the London 95 DVD but that DVD is excellent.

Did they play Dry County at that London 1995 gig? If they did it's a real shame they left it off the DVD then, because the band sounds awesome on all the other songs!

I think Sam was asking about the TLFR DVD.
