why is it so popular?

Cause there's good songs on it ?

Wanted Dead Or Alive, Livin' On A Prayer, Never Say Goodbye, the radio fav' You Give Love A Bad Name

Though I think New Jersey, SWW follower was much better, I still like Slippery. But I don't think it's aging too good. Exept for Wanted.

Anyway, I just wanted to share the news in my previous post and eventually discuss it, not relaunch the BJ bashing machine.

livin on a prayer was good, and obvz the radio fav was decent. But the rest of it just wasnt really what that album was raved about to be on various internet forums.

However, i may dislike the songs etc but i cant deny that they are talented and johns voice was great.

Fuck that album. These Days and Keep the Faith is what you should be testing out. Here's a video:

I think cause livin on a Prayer, Bad Name and Wanted have been played to death and its hard to appreciate the impact they had when they were brand new.

There is a song called "edge of a broken heart" that didnt make the album and If it had, it would've easily been one of the 5 best songs on the album.

Kind of like Appetite For Destruction, If I hear Paradise City or Welcome To The Jungle again, it will be too soon. Im so burnt out on that whole album.

Bon Jovi New Jersey is a great album

Bad Medicine is kind of corny now but check out:

Livin In Sin
Blood on Blood *My fav on the album*
Wild is the Wind
Stick To  Your Guns

with the exception of Livin in Sin these songs werent hits but are great fuckin songs.

A little something for the fans ...

The band is currently working on their new album, titled lost Highways, due for this spring.

They've released online pieces of two new songs, so that the fans can discuss the new album. They were released on Promo Squad.

Here they are :

I Love This Town

Make A Memory

I don't like them. Why does Jon sing like a pussy now? Had Jon sang Make a Memory in 1990 he would've sung it in the same vein as Dyin' Ain't Much of a Livin' (a great track btw). Now, his grit has turned into a whisper. This was a man with conviction:

Smoking and blowing his voice out too many times unfortunately has destroyed a lot of his range and power. crying
