Rocker JON BON JOVI finds the aging ROLLING STONES a musical embarrassment and vows to retire at the right age. The KEEP THE FAITH singer wants to grow old gracefully away from the stage and admits he finds it amazing the Stones are still rocking in their sixties. Bon Jovi, 44, says, "I won't be like the Stones. "You probably heard KEITH (RICHARDS) fell out of a tree a few days ago. I don't envision myself being like that. "The minute that this is all nostalgia, that it's the fat guys, I'm out. Until then, I can't stop."

Basically he is saying, when he gets old and cant sell records, he wont tour just for nostalgia and to make money.

He just says he wont be doing it as long as they are.

They are used as the comparison simply cause they are the oldest band still out there.

Jon wasnt dissing them as a group, just saying he wouldnt choose to tour that long.

Keith fell out of a tree and is the butt of every joke in America.

The Rolling Stones are becoming an embarrassment but Jon didnt say that.

and they've made plenty of good music in recent years. they're only a punch line if you believe certain media critics. and who does that anyway?

he can't even write his own music. he has other people write "hits" for him, and his songs still sound the same.

the stones are, and always will be, the greatest rock band ever.

While sandman needs to do a bit of research before posting, everyone I know who went to the Sydney Rolling Stones show here a few months back gave it rave reviews.

I think JBJ is just using them as a comparison to how he wants to bow out, it's not such a huge insult.

I'm surprised he actually said "until then I can't stop" because I thought this album might be their last. I've heard quite a few recordings from this tour and the guy is really losing his voice big time. I certainly wouldn't be complaining if they kept going though

i've lost my mind??? you just agreed that they hired a known "hit-maker" to make them famous. and it worked. i can't respect that.

why not just write and perform you're own music? they were more concerned with being famous and making $$ than making great music.

they are manufactured. ultra-commercial.

A punchline? They still headline, they still do world tours and probably sell out every show.  have you seen mick jagger lately, "fat" is not a word I would use to describe him, he could probably kick the ass of most of the guys half his age.  There are tons of rock acts still touring successfuly at an "old" age.....look at Ozzy and Sabbath.

Don't you think you're being a bit biased as a gigantic bon jovi fan?  This is a really assinine statement.  The stones are rock gods.....you mention bon jovi to the average person and they'll laugh their asses off.
