I'd love to see Bon Jovi. I'm sure they put on a great show. I like the old stuff but the new stuff kinda sucks. more so because they put out a decent tune like Have a Nice day and then follow it up with shite like Who Says You Can't Go Home. That's terrible. no

I can see where you are coming from, for example Crush had 'It's My Life' followed up by 'Say It Isn't So'  Roll Eyes

I do like Who Says You Can't Go Home but I think another radio friendly tune like Complicated would have been a good choice.

Single selection has been poor over the last few albums, Bounce included.

BON JOVI - TORONTO ROCKS Night #1
(Sunday, January 22, 2006)
Well, it wasn't easy getting to Toronto for the band but it was worth the trip. In the wee hours of Saturday, January 21st, the band was flying from Buffalo, NY (where they'd finished a show) up to Hamilton, Ontario in order to take up residency in Toronto for a week for sold out shows at the Air Canada Centre. But a routine, short flight was not smooth flying -- upon landing in Hamilton, amidst severe weather and slick runway conditions, the band's Boeing 707 overshot the runway and skidded into the mud. Everyone on board was OK - no injuries. But it was a bit of a scare for all. Everyone deplaned and the show in Toronto went on as planned last night (Saturday, January 21st.) Check out the KICK ASS SET LIST:

LAST MAN STANDING
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD
RUNAWAY
JUST OLDER
COMPLICATED
BORN TO BE MY BABY
THE STORY OF MY LIFE
WILD IS THE WIND
NOVOCAINE
I WON'T BACK DOWN (Tom Petty cover)
HAVE A NICE DAY
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME BLAZE OF GLORY (acoustic)
BED OF ROSES (acoustic)
BAD MEDICINE
RAISE YOUR HANDS
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER

encores:
WELCOME TO WHEREVER YOU ARE
BLOOD ON BLOOD
KEEP THE FAITH
TREAT HER RIGHT
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

Again, Toronto - thank you for your hospitality! It was an incredible night and good to know that despite a scary landing, the band, their staff and the flight crew are all AOK, safe, sound, healthy. Toronto has 3 more shows coming!

Wild is the wind? Is that a song? I thought it was Wild in the streets!

Oh, and Bon Jovis efforts after These Days have inevitably been shit...maybe 3-4 good tracks and then the rest bullshit filler.

Its for the old school i go, that and to see one man have 90,000 people in the palm of his hands is truely awe inspiring!

Have A Nice Day is almost fillerless.

Arron if u havent listened to the entire CD u shoud man.

Who Says U cant Go Home is probably my least fav on that record but I wanna be Loved,Complicated, I am, Novocaine,Welcome to Wherever you are all kick ass and pick up Dirty Little Secret which is a bonus in europe I think??

Dirty little secret is the best song on the CD and its awesome.

Yep DLS is a song I skipped past until I heard it live on audio, then went back to it cos it sounded great. I think Jon recorded songs on the album that he knew he could sing live.

Just on the lyrics for a moment.. one thing I notice on this album compared to the Crush & Bounce is that a lot of the songs talk about accepting yourself and where you are in life and building/changing from that.. rather than perhaps previous themes of changing your life all together etc. I don't know, that's what I take from the album and relate to, cos I've arrived at the stage of my life where I am accepting more and working from that. Anyone else feel the same?

Ill do a short review now..I cant remember the whole set so ill get a hold of it and go through each song later.. and delete this post with the actiual review..Opened with Last Man Standing...Played for a solid 2 1/2 hours..did two encores..Crowd was amazing for all the big hits and was still very loud on the not so big hits..Highlights were Last Man Standing,You Give Love A Bad Name,Have A Nice Day,It's My Life,Bad Medicine,Livin On A Prayer,Welcome To Wherever You Are (2nd best song of the night, awsome live),Wanted Dead Or Alive (best song of the night), Richie sang 2nd verse right into his solo..amazing
and prolly the biggest suprise of the night was when they played Heroes by David Bowie..It was awsome..then they played Runaway and Treat Her Right

Do you mean Shot Through The Heart as in from the self titled Bon Jovi album?!?!?!?!?! I've been listening to that song all week, just tonight on the way home from work! That would be a dream to hear Bon Jovi play that out of the blue live! Rarity!! I gather you mean You Give Love A Bad Name tho?

Who Say's You Can't Go Home sounds awesome live.. I love the extended 'it's alright' ending they do live.

Shit they played Wild In The Streets.  That's cool...one of my favorite Jovi tunes.  Its one of his most Springsteenest songs.
