How about using PMs for private messages? Or even the other old Bon Jovi thread....

Bon Jovi Are my 2nd fave band too..

Edge Of A Broken Heart is excellent!

Not sure what the bands future plans are. I guess Bounce was a commercial disappointment after the success of Crush, though I still enjoyed it.

I'd love to see more live DVDs made available.

Do you have any Bon Jovi pro shot DVD boots Thorned Rose? Id be very interested if you did have any. I have a few GN'R DVDs  Wink

A return of the Bon Jovi thread....should keep D happy....as for a new album i hope when they do one it will be a big improvement.  This Left Feels Right was a good idea i respect them for trying something different rather than the same old Greatest Hits packages but fact is it sucked only It's My Life surpassed the original the others were not even close.  As for Bounce ive heard worse but i expected more, i enjoyed Crush despite people calling it more pop than rock but Bounce just did not feel right IMO it had it's moments though i know the band still work their arse's off and put out half decent stuff they stick more to the roots than Metallica these days but anyway this is a Bon Jovi thread not Metallica so moving on i recently downloaded a Bon Jovi cover of Thin Lizzy's 'The Boy's Are Back In Town' and although not wonderful they put their own stamp on it without messing it up i was quite impressed.

I don't see what the hell is wrong with Bounce? I like it a lot. It sold a million in the states. I mean what is the problem here?

It's got a bunch of good tracks.

Bounce was alright, but it was expected to get Bon Jovi to hit the 100 million albums mark, and it didn't. Doesn't mean it was a bad album, it had just been built up by the press and fans to be a huge success and reach that milestone and it didn't happen. Has a few good songs like Undivided, Everyday and Misunderstood. I even like the title track, Bounce.

Couldn't agree with Stoned more, This Left Feels Right was a massive disappointment for my liking, with the exception of It's My Life which I thought was oustanding, even if it the tempo of the song really didn't fit in with the meaning and theme of the song.

Where did I first hear the Bon Jovi cover of The Boys Are Back In Town? I keep remembering watching some movie when I was a kid, and it was in that. Was it at the end of Army Brats? Anyway great cover!

My fave Bon Jovi album is New Jersey. Wild Is The Wind, Born To Be My Baby, I'll be There For You, Stick To Your Guns.. great songs.

I'm not sure what the bands future plans are. Haven't kept up with it lately.

YES I CAN'T wait....

This band has 5 #1 singles, 24 top 10 singles, this  band is one of my favs and are phenomenal!!!!!!!!!

D it is coming man!!!

3 dics will be unreleased songs

1 disc will be rare songs from movies, shows, demos ect...

the last disc will be a DVD of rare behind the scenes stuff... swwwwwwwweeeet!!!

So it is a 5 disc box set called : "100 million Bon jovi fans can't be wrong"

I'd say that is right 100 million albums sold? damn man.... go Bon Jovi

I really hope they put Last Man Standing and Theif of Hearts in the unreleased section.

I also hope it is at least 8 songs per disc or something like that. I think it would rock if we could get 40 tracks from the 4 song discs. What do you guys think will be on here.

Edge of a Broken Heart, I've never heard it, I'm sure that will be on the rarities?

D what do you think man???

November 16th, 2004  = Bon Jovi BOX SET! YES!

(Yeah I know I'm a Bon jovi freak... so what? lol)

Well this is great news sounds like they will be packing it with lots of worthwhile stuff rather than just a cash in which provides very little that people have not already heard.  I am though intrigued as to what the price tag will be that they slam on because as much as i like them i don't like them enough to fork out a ton of cash to get ripped off.  Things like this are mainly for die-hard fans who are 'stupid' enough to pay whatever price tag is attached because they are blinded by their love for the band.  Only Guns N' Roses, Monster Magnet, M?tley Cr?e or Skid Row would probably get me forking out the cash.  Worth downloading though Tongue

P.S. I may be wrong it may be available at a very cheap affordable price.....i can't see it though

The thing I find is that most box sets are crap and feature, for the most part, things that everybody's heard.  The Beatles Anthology, for example, included like a handful of new songs and was mostly outtakes and stuff of songs everyone already owns.  The recent Motley Crue box set was the same thing...it just featured the original studio albums and alternate takes.  They already reissued the whole Motley catalogue under the "Crucial Crue" series, and then they did it again to make more money.  Most box sets are like that.

The only good box set that I've heard is Bruce Springsteen's Tracks, and I'll tell you why.  Almost every song on that is an unreleased MASTER recording.  Which means it's like getting 4 entirely new Bruce albums at top quality.  And there are tons of great songs on there too.  The reason Bruce could do that was because he often writes like 20 songs for an album and he'll put maybe 12 of them on there.  This is where I'm pinning my hopes on the Bon Jovi box set.  Springsteen is one of Jon's main influences.  If he's as prolific a writer as Bruce is, we might have tons of unreleased master recordings just waiting to be unleashed on the public.  I hope this box set is more Bruce and less Motley (which, come to think of it, was the direction Bon Jovi's music took in the 90s).

being that ive heard most of these, trust me, they are great recordings, the same lyrical and melody qualities of the album tracks.

jon wrote over 40 songs himself for crush got back with the band and they wrote songs and chose the album listing, he has done that for every album, so there are tons of unreleased gems. wait till u hear "now and forever" that song is just awesome! Last Man Standing and thief of hearts are great also.  I hope he includes their cover version of "sylvia's mother"

its gonna be more than worth it, trust me!

before jon got signed he worked as a janitor in the power station recording studios and after hours he worked on his demos which was one of the perks, his cousin that ran the studio tried to capitalize on jon's fame and release those early demo recordings, i have the powerstation cd and its very substandard, i like the song "more than we bargained for" but this was before even "runaway"

pretty interesting to hear but its not an authorized bon jovi release which is why it doesnt show up!
