I'm not a Bon Jovi hater, so hopefully no one thinks I'm leaping into this thread to bash the band... but! I have to know.

Are any Bon Jovi fans pissed about the video for "Lost Highway?" I just saw it myself (probably late, because I have no idea when it was released), and it's little more than a Saturn car commercial that occasionally features Bon Jovi.

I know that Bon Jovi have been rocking the commercial pop/rock genre since day one, and their artistic integrity isn't beyond reproach, but this "video" struck me as pretty ridiculous, and I've no idea how real fans of the band feel about it. At least the good people at Saturn are probably pleased.

it seems like any other bon jovi video. The band is playing somewhere, and the fans are trying to make it there

Right there :

Quote
BON JOVI?s Lost Highway Tour is coming to Australia. The tour confirmation follows on from last week?s world-wide tour announcement Jon Bon Jovi made on stage at the grand opening of the Prudential Center in his home state of New Jersey.

Anticipation is running at an all time high as concerts in more than 10 countries have already been confirmed including Canada, the U.S., Japan, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Holland, Austria and now Australia.

The legendary band will tour Australia in January, playing Melbourne?s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday 19th January, Sydney?s Acer Arena on Monday 21st January and Perth?s Subiaco Oval on Friday 25th January (Australia Day Eve). This is Bon Jovi?s first Australian tour since 1995.

Tickets to the Lost Highway Tour go on sale on Thursday 15th November at 9am.

The tour celebrates the release of Bon Jovi?s 10th studio album, the Nashville-inspired Lost Highway, which entered the Australian charts at number five, and went to number one in the US, Japan, Canada and Germany and includes the hit songs ?Lost Highway? and ?(You Want To) Make a Memory.?

Bon Jovi has set the bar for more than two decades as one of the most successful rock bands in the world. Globally they have sold more than 120 millions albums, played more than 2500 shows in 50 countries for 32 million people. In Australia alone they have had 30 hits in the Top 40 and six Bon Jovi albums have topped the Australian charts.

Bon Jovi has established themselves as one of the world's most dynamic live rock acts by delivering their fans dynamic performances and the best tour production imaginable. This tour will be no different!

I guess they must have fans here then. According to Jon, he said they didn't have enough fans here to warrant touring here.

Yeah, I've wanted them to tour here for the last 10 years.
I just find what Jon said to be completely absurd when they are one of the biggest bands in the world, and when they toured in 1995 they played one of the biggest concerts ever staged in Sydney.

I don't think Lost Highway has done any better or worse than their previous albums here.
