It seems some of you have forgotten how big GN'R actually were in the early 90's.
GnR were everywhere in every flavor of the media that was available at the time... but just because YOU like them more doesn't mean any of the artists I mentioned were any less popular in their heyday... remember how big Metallica was at the same time Gn'R was??? Or how big Michael Jackson was, come on don't live in your own little Gn'R fantasy... Objectively speaking, There have been HUGE acts before(van halen, michael jackson etc..), and during (metallica, nirvana)  Gn'Rs time  that were huge. At this point in time you ask people about Gn'R and they'll go, "they're still around??" with confused looks on their faces..anyway all  i said they will be (given everything goes well) as they once were....  Don't look at everything with such a narrow scope... you'll concetrate too much on the scope and miss the entire pretty picture..  way to ruin a thread guy..  ok  this was just to reach out to other people to hear their thoughts, not your overall opinion about their current popularity.   Undecided

trying to live up to what they were 15 years ago is tough. Id be happy if they just come off as a great band who got a second chance at success & gave us something great to hear again.

Try not to forget U2. I think they sold out some bars and small venues, too.

I enjoy your signature, mate. Hyacinth House is one of the most underrated Doors songs. I haven't found it on any of their best-ofs and that's a real damn shame. Lovely song.

Ok, I just found these 2.

Tie Your Mother Down has been posted before but the poster said that it was from the Freddie Mercury tribute.

These are from the June 13, Wembley Stadium with Brian May:

I searched in this thread but I couldn't find them so I posted...

Sorry if this has been posted already.

GNR at the Roxy in 1986. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Uy8Fxu7uQk&mode=related&search=

This is rocket queen, but just click this link and it gives all the rest. Amazing to see how the songs sounded back then, and how they have evolved. The anything goes version is the alternative lyrics.
