i didnt find it that bad...

yeah, he is no axl rose in singing... he is no slash either. but the solo was cool......
he only plays what the audience want to hear...

It's called improvising. That was purposeful. You think a guy from the band would have forgotten how to play it? I liked it. The Doors did stuff like that all the time live - changing their solos and song lyrics etc. for improv's sake. It gives live shows a different vibe and works well if you do it right. At a relaxed show like that in a small club it's cool.

I don't think Robin Sucks on Sweet Child, I think it is just different than Slash.

Actually this is one of the reasons I wouldn't mind hearing the re-recorded songs, so I could hear how Robin recorded them.  I think in some cases what he does really works well.  I'd kill to hear a studio version of the dueling guitar solos on PC they used to do - BH and Robin, that is one of the hilights I miss most.

Wow. Never seen that Don't Cry acoustic from 1986. That is how the song should have been recorded. Wonderful-heartfelt, great singing great subtle guitars. I hate the UYI versions with a passion. Man, I hope they recorded a studio acoustic version at some point....would be perfect for a box set track. ok Acoustic Yesterdays would be nice as well.

Yeah, I agree except I love the UYI versions (I just wish Axl's extended vocals at the end wouldn't be so annoying...it could be shorter like the live versions and would be perfect). There's an acoustic version of Yesterdays on YouTube with West Arkeen and Axl, but it's only 38 seconds long. Check it out:

I know everyone here is critical if something has been said before and whatnot... I used to come to Jarmo's Forum since about 1998.. and before that; the original forums run by Gn'R... anyway  Someone has asked about One In  A Million and since most of you probably haven't seen it..  here you go:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5rejzm3PhQ
Besides that... Just thinking about Gn'R and their greatness, and how they disappeared.. their failed comeback and now their re-comeback?? Anyway Just putting my 2 cents in, Gn'R if their U.S. Tour goes well and they put out a cd by the end of the year (as Axl) has said (we all know he's said it before...  Roll Eyes )..There is no doubt that they will be as big as they once were.. I have tickets to Cleveland?? who else is going??? I hope you all have a great time at the shows where you will be seeing Gn'R!!

As bis as they once were? The only other acts who have been as big as GN'R are The Beatles and Elvis. That stuff don't come around twice.

Only ones to be as big as they were??? wow... what a limited scope of musical interest... I guess other HUGE acts have never been as big as gn'r such as van halen, metallica, ozzy, garth brooks, the stones, led zeppelin, michael jackson.. you're right only elvis and the beatles..  Tongue

Come on. Garth Brooks? Van Halen? Ozzie? Metallica? Sure, they were big, but not Beatles/GN'R big.

It seems some of you have forgotten how big GN'R actually were in the early 90's.
