as far as I can see everyone in the domes loved how he sounded. the vocals were louder and clear than in 07. so were his dances he was moving around non-stop.
Some say they found their new love for cd, some whine as how they can't listen to cd anymore because it makes them miss the band furthermore, and some even claim the vocals (and the band's performances) at the shows to have been better than those on the album.... I guess they prefer raw sounds.

At any rate we don't go see a band to hear the exactly same things to what we can listen to anytime at home on our cd players.

And as you can see on the youtube clips, the majority of the audience are reserved and sober, rarely dance (I bet theyve never been to a club!) or sing (they'd get annoyed if others tried to sing along with them at karaoke venues!) but concentrate their attention on the performances (like bloody critics that can't miss any small error to make the performers feel as uncomfortable as possible!). And song after song they were enraptured!

I'm glad to hear Axl sounds better than ever. So, it must have to do with
- bad recordings
- I don't see the complete show, so it's difficult to judge a performance by watching some clips
- the band still needs to grow in some of the new songs (I can agree with the examples from the past where the old band also fucked up november rain and estranged first times they played it)

As an example: Just watch the TIL clip in youtube; at some parts he is really out of key.

Uh, no. The band sounds perfect (or almost) on every new song imo. Ashba does a few mistakes here and there but he'll surely improve as the tour goes on.

Yea, that's it. He's out of breath and that's why he probably goes out of key sometimes. He'll improve as the tour progresses, just like he improved on the past tours.
