That version of Nightrain is really one of the best, if not THE best live performance of the new GNR lineup and one of the main reasons for that is that Robin Finck only plays rhythm throughout the song and the solos are handled by Ron and Richard. Especially Ron is on fire in this one and Axl's voice sounds as good as ever.

One of the biggest problems I've had with new GNR was Robin Finck, I just never liked that guys playing or his stage presence. That doesn't mean I'm stuck in the past, because now that DJ Ashba (who is clearly a better guitarist) has replaced him, GNR may finally reclame their throne as the baddest muthafuckin rock band on the planet.

Gee, wonder how many people I just pissed off with that comment...  Grin

Pretty obsessive, huh?

But anyways, Robin always played lead in Nightrain, right before Ron's outro. It's just usually low in the mix because Axl was still singing.
