umm..not at all imo.  mediocre at best.  the word GOD when speaking of musicians should be used for one with great technical ability, songwriting skills, and the ability to wow crowds - robin possesses none of these traits.  Now, before the backlash begins, I will give robin credit - he does fit in nicely with the group of musicians axl has put together - he does play the old gnr tunes very well - he is a part of my favorite band of all time - but he's easily replacable.  I can't stand his solo's at live events.  That's the only negative thing I can say about gnr.  I firmly beleive axl is the best talent we will ever see - he is gnr.  The rest are backing musicians.  BBF is by far the best guitarist gnr has ever seen!!!

These are my opinions, that's all.  We're all entitled to them.  I don't like trashing anyone...but robin a GOD...c'mon now!

Fortus again proves he is the best guitarist in GnR at the moment, the other 2 don't even come close. One plays off key 80% of the time, the other plays random fast notes that have nothing to do with the song or music in general.

Fortus, although in the background in most songs, wipes the floor with those 2. Why Axl, why is Fortus in the background and the spotlight is on Finck and Bumble during the solos? It does not make sense at all, musically and performance wise

I know everyone says "Better" is a Robin song and Robin came up with the solo in "The Blues", but first off how exactly do we know that to be fact?  I've just grown to accept it but I don't remember exactly where it came from.  And how do we know what Richard has or hasn't written himself?  Has Axl said Robin has done this and this and that, and Richard has done nothing?

I hear that, but that's kind of vague in and of itself.  What does that mean exactly?  Did the other guys have nothing to do with the song?  It's Robin's baby?  And how about the solos in "The Blues"?  I've heard people credit them to Robin.  I think people give too much credit when the whole story isn't really known.  Not to take anything away from Robin or anyone else, I'm just saying we should hold off on praise or criticism till we get the finished product.

Ask yourself: why would a guitarist play the same solo for 7 years with almost no changes? Why would Axl bring a guitar player to the band as a writer?

Also, any guitar player can recognize Robin's style. It's all over his solos, you can tell he had a least a big whole on it.

Who do you think wrote The Blues solo? Or TWAT? Notice that both songs date from before 2000.

if you manage to get Axl's monitor mix bootleg you'll hear Bumble's solo. One of my favorites, by the way. It's almost cooler than RiR and RaR's versions.
