I'm not sure what you mean.  He wasn't supposed to invite anyone to the party?

What has that to do with anything?

I got the feeling that dizzy and the host for this thing got to "know" eachother a little and the first thing the host did when dizzy had left was to spread everything that dizzy said and more... Which i think is a lousy thing to do... At least here on the web you know, at a fuckin' gn'r forum...

please don't besmirch my name on a fan forum that I enjoy visiting on occasion.

I posted a thread on mygnrforum.com before Dizzy's flight arrived asking fans for questions that they might want to ask Dizzy.  For an afternoon of the weekend, I asked if Dizzy would like to visit mygnr with me and answer some of these questions.  I informed Mr. Dizwald that these answers would be posted online prior to me asking them.  Do I regret posting them now afterwards?  Probably yes, but mostly because of the circus that it created with people accusing me of falsifying an interview until I proved the entire thing by posting pictures from the weekend several days later.  The fact is, at the time there was very little news on GNR and I hoped that Dizzy would help bring more visibility from the GNR camp.  Dizzy's a great guy and I know that I'm not the type of person who would intentionally do something to belittle his name.  Please check your facts before posting on a topic which is accusatory towards another.

What facts? I read the thread and it was not in interview form. You told the world what dizzy may or may not have told you in confidence and i thought that was pretty fucked up.

are you serious?

here's the initial thread where I asked for questions here on HTGTH: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=24847.msg444227#msg444227

here's the first thread I posted on the first part of the afternoon interview: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=24979.msg447456#msg447456

I'm sure you haven't read this thread in a while so I'll excuse you for stating that it "wasn't in interview form."

However, I did add some tidbits from our conversations (pieces of it that I felt appropriate at the time to include in the interview post) over the weekend into the post as well - so that might be what you're referring to.  To touch on this, I DO regret posting the pieces of the interview that were from side-conversations and not the afternoon interview itself.  While Dizzy himself has never explicitly stated to me that he was unhappy with any of this, I know that some of the conversations with him that I posted probably were not for public knowledge even if my only intention was to inform y'all.  It is in what I decided not to post from that interview that people were most angry about if I remember correctly.  Please remember that this was Jan/2006 I think and I mentioned that there would be good news to come from the GNR camp or something like that in my initial post.  Well suddenly everyone got on my back as to why I was hiding what this good news was and how I was starting false rumors and such... looking back, you all found out the good news just a few short months later when info on the GNR world tour started leaking, didnt you?  Please understand that I was simply trying to imply that something big was to come (from my point-of-view, to get everyone excited) without posting it outright cause I didn't feel that was my position as a simple fan.

please don't say that it was "fucked up" thing to do.  while you may not realize it, it is a serious insult towards me.  dizzy is a fraternity brother and friend of mine and I hate to see someone accuse me of something like that.

in any case, I wanted to help answer some questions that you all (not to mention me as well!) had and that's why I scheduled a two-hour interview with Dizzy during the weekend.  The interview had a great reception at mygnr but somehow, it turned into some sort of controversial riot here at HTGTH.  I've known better since than to post conversations, trust me.

Despite all this, I still feel HTGTH is a great board and I do understand where everyone was coming from initially due to all the false GNR info that's posted on these boards all the time.
