It's nice to hear someone say something positive about the band, but a little random. Did they have a bit about Guns on the FUSE show? I know that they had Frank and Bumble on a little bit ago. I tried searching, so if this has been posted, my apologies.

GUNS N' ROSES: CHINESE DEMOCRACY 2008
By Anthony Kuzminski and Mark Strigl

For the last 9 years, we have been anticipating the release of 'Chinese Democracy.' This will be Guns N' Roses' first album of new material since 1993.

Despite the years of waiting, and the departure of 4 of 5 original members, the public has not abandoned this band. Gn'R's 'Greatest Hits' record, which had virtually no promotion, hit Billboard's top 100 at #3 in March of 2004 and hasn't dropped off the charts since. Online discussions about the highly anticipated 'Chinese Democracy' have been going on for years. Over the past few years, live performances and a few rough mixes of new songs that have leaked to the net have whipped both devotees and cynical journalists into an excited frenzy. It is evident that the craving for a new Guns N' Roses record is so intense that fans will buy or do almost anything to feed their appetites for destruction.

Today we would like to go on record by saying that just because there is no longer an iconic guy wearing a top hat on lead guitar, doesn't mean we can disregard the current incarnation of Guns N' Roses. Axl Rose is a brilliant artist who defies the norm with his unrelenting willpower. New cuts such as "Better" and "Madagascar" confirm that Guns N' Roses still have thunderous artistic expression inside of them. In a day and age where rock has become way too safe, Axl Rose brings back uncertainty and danger to art form that has been lacking it for far too long.

A massive league of loyal fans continue to keep the legacy of Guns N' Roses alive, and whenever 'Chinese Democracy' finally drops, the fans' patience will be rewarded.

I agree. The Talking Metal guys are good supporters of GNR.

I hope we get to see the album come out sometime soon.

Absolutely.

I like the Talking Metal podcasts. They sound fresh and raw, and full of good opinion.

I think Guns will return in a big way and they will show the young pretenders how it is really done.

People settle for a lot less these days, musically speaking.

I absolutely love this paragraph.  I am glad they have gone on the record and said this.  This band deserves major accolades and I think people will finally see this when CD comes out.  The talking metal guys are great fans and they are nice as hell (well, from what I remember, I was quite wasted when I met them before the MSG show and only went up to talk on their podcast thing because Jarmo said I should!) hihi

definitely.  and its refreshing to see a positive article like this when there is so much garbage in the media.   If anyone deserves an exclusive Axl interview, its these guys!

Great article, and very positive thoughts as always from Talking Metal hosts.

Of course, its a big difference without founding members of the band who have come to be associated with the name Guns N' Roses. For all of the criticism the new band members might get as 'replacements' for Slash or Duff etc, I think people don't realise, or don't want to realise, that the new band is exactly that - a new band.

For all the moaning and loss that people may feel with whoever is no longer in the band, that's in the past now. The new GNR album will introduce to the world the "new" GNR, that is, a group of musicians who bear the 'legacy' of GNR and, at the end of the day, gossips and critics aside, these are musicians who enjoy playing music and obviously feel proud to have a great catalog of songs (whether they wrote it or not) to share with the music fans.

What do I think?  I think the record label needs GNR right now to save themselves.  They need to show they can make some money and quick.

How about at the January stockholders meeting, Universal has to go in there and say their records divisions aren?t doing so great and present their hope for the future.  Yeah they just spent a shit load hiring a master mixer, the guidance groans.  But they have their proven money maker, GNR.  When the audience quits laughing, they give a release date, hopefully the preorder numbers and to prove it?s real, a demo of 3 songs, the single, a ballad and a new song.  Somebody is ready to slip it on to youtube if the fans don?t get it on their first.  And to prove Axl Rose isn?t the flake your thinking he is, he?s here and the press is getting an exclusive with him right now.

What do you think?  Creates a buzz and maybe a little pocket change is added to the stock value?

because then people can give their kids/family/friends a copy of Chinese Democracy probably. however to me it seems that if that person would want Chinese Democracy he/she'd probably buy it anyway, irrelevant what period its released in.

Ideally, I'd love to see it out in spring, but then again, I don't know whats going on nor is it up to me.
However after seeing the band and their growth over the years. I can say that I unswervingly believe in the band and Chinese Democracy.

It'll be exciting to see whats next.
