Hot off the box.  Can't say I'm enormously impressed myself.  I guess she puts an 'rnb' spin on things, so it's not likely to appeal to me.  The flying at the end was quite funny though.

I knew it was Mccartney's song originally, but GNR covered it. And it made me think, hasn't she done a GNR cover or two before.

I doubt it. Most of the people that watch CBS and award shows are older, and it was a pretty big hit for McCartney.

My point is that it was an even bigger hit for GNR.

Ask around, most people just think it's a GNR song. I'm not saying that's right or anything. It's just my experience.

It's funny, even my local classic rock station plays the GNR version way more than they do Paul's.  They did play the original the other day and shamefully I thought, "Man, GNR's version rocks so much harder than this!"  

I would imagine there are plenty of people under age 25 who have no clue it's his song.  They probably downloaded the mp3 off the net and it was just labeled GNR so what would they know?

On topic, again, I really wish someone to tell Fergie that rock is just not her genre.  I guess since the video has 109,000 views and is rated one star-most agree with me.
