I don't think I've read a book since... 8th grade.  Oh that's not true.  I read a short one in 11th grade because I had to sorta.

Do most people read books?

I hope so. They should, just relating to the fact that people get more & more stupid these days. I mean, at first, reading is fun, my best personal way to relax. Next it is interesting, it just trains your brain.
And for why I'm specifically reading text about politic themes and history - I couldn't live not knowing what's going on. Cause someone who hasn't knowledge in history, at least from the French Revolution on, is unable to understand the world and its structures we live in.
Next important part would be the history of literature.

a book written by Eamon Collins who was a republican with the IRA. very interesting, obviously one sided view of the ira and their fight for freedom of their country. he was killed following the books relase.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Got a copy from a guy who said he got them off an Amazon.com truck.  It's good so far.  Harry actually has SEX in this book.  Pretty "steamy" stuff.  Snape starts dating another Hogworts teacher (you'll never guess who).  Only about 1/2 way through, so far...

NOT!!!

Seriously..reading "Winter's Heart" by Robert Jordan. "Crossroads of Twilight", also by Jordan, is next up.

I MAY pick up the Potter book at some point.   The previous 4 were nice "beach books".  Quick reads without a whole lot of "investment", mentally, to appreciate it.
