Finished The Gunslinger. it was kinda dissapointing but Stephen King himself said in the foreward that the book was hard to read and that he always tells people starting the series that the next book is where the story finds its voice....

and on that note, i'm starting the Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three right now.

I'm currently reading Nick Hornby's "A long way down" and I'm really enjoying it. Despite its subject it's so humorously and tenderly written..

 Shocked

Aye, I've widely read that there is no particular need to read them in order, but still, I figured, hey!, why not start at the beggining.

What do you think of Light Fantastic? I've read reviews saying that Colour of Magic is nowhere near the best in the series, but I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to getting cracking on the ol' fantastic light.

At the moment I'm reading The Lovely Bones (I made my girlfriend read Catcher in the Rye and A Clockwork Orange, so I told her I'd read this... What can I say), and it ain't bad, not what I would usually go for but still, it's very readable. When I finish that I'm going to start Full Dark House, my first Christopher Fowler book, and then it will be time for some more Discworld.
