Finished The Gunslinger. it was kinda dissapointing but Stephen King himself said in the foreward that the book was hard to read and that he always tells people starting the series that the next book is where the story finds its voice....
and on that note, i'm starting the Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three right now.

Fantastic book! Shit, I can't believe I don't own it. Now I want to read it again.
First read it in tenth grade english, probably one of my favorites that we ever had to read in school. Its nice when they assign you something good.

I'm currently reading Nick Hornby's "A long way down" and I'm really enjoying it. Despite its subject it's so humorously and tenderly written..

I started The Colour of Magic a couple of days ago. My first Discworld experience. My first Pratchett experience.
I've almost finished and I like what I'm seeing, or err, reading, so far.?

Aye, I've widely read that there is no particular need to read them in order, but still, I figured, hey!, why not start at the beggining.
What do you think of Light Fantastic? I've read reviews saying that Colour of Magic is nowhere near the best in the series, but I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to getting cracking on the ol' fantastic light.
At the moment I'm reading The Lovely Bones (I made my girlfriend read Catcher in the Rye and A Clockwork Orange, so I told her I'd read this... What can I say), and it ain't bad, not what I would usually go for but still, it's very readable. When I finish that I'm going to start Full Dark House, my first Christopher Fowler book, and then it will be time for some more Discworld.

Forever Odd was excellent, I like Odd Thomas better but it was an adequate follow up. I now have to go and pick up the third installment "Brother Odd"
I have no cash so Im gonna have to read something else first.
