« Reply #800 on: January 13, 2007, 08:18:39 PM »

just finished The Tommknockers, it was good. as i said earlier it started off really slow, but the last half was non-stop action.? im gonna read the new michael crichton book Next. Then i'll probably go on a Michael Crichton binge and read The Great Train Robbery, Rising Sun, and The 13th Warrior/Eaters of The Dead. those are the last?Crichton books that i havent read. i'll probably try another Stephen King book after those....

Finished Next already. it was strange, it was rather slow compared to the other Crichton books i've read. It jumped around alot too, overall it was belove average, especially for Crichton. All the information on genes etc. was interesting but as a novel it really wasn't very good. I am gonna read The Great Train Robbery next.

Yeah i am half thru and the story does jump around a lot. It is is not one of his best books but a interesting topic.

yeah i've read almost all of Crichton's books and Next definitely was the worst overall. my favorites are of course Jurassic Park, and probably Timeline. Congo and Sphere were also fantastic.

just finished The Great Train Robbery, it was fucking awesome and one of Crichton's best. i read it in less than a week, he always knows how to keep you turning pages lol.

next up is Eaters of The Dead (renamed The 13th Warrior), also by Crichton, this book was made into a movie with Antonio Banderes called The 13th Warrior which i havent seen yet.

Yeah I finished the "Amber Spyglass" a few days ago, great stuff  ok They are making a movie based on "Golden Compass"(aka Northern Lights" too. Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman are Lord Asriel and Marisa Coulter!
Oh and Sam Elliot is Lee Scoresby... Although I always pictured him a lot younger.

Now I'm starting to read "Gunslinger" by Stephen King.

Wow, i can't wait to see that. It's either gonna be really good and i'll love it, or really rubbish and i'll just judge it too much because i like the book haha (probobly the latter, but lets hope). i think nicole kidman could work well as Marisa Coulter, but it might not. I also picture Lee Scoresby to be younger  Undecided

Dont know if i posted this already but sort of reading "From Potters Field-Patricia Cornwell". but i cant get into it as easily as her other books.

I just finished reading The Last Days of John Lennon and it was awesome. It is written by a guy who spent almost every day with John Lennon for about the last year and a half of his life. You find some really cool info about John Lennon's life and how he wrote certain songs. Really great read and I highly recomend it to any John Lennon fans.
