Red Dragon: fantastic
Silence of the Lambs: fantastic
Hannibal: okay, fucked up ending
theres another book coming out soon thats a prequel and covers Hannibal Lecter as a child into his early adult years. they are already in pre-production of a movie based on the book.

Reading a biography of Joe Strummer at the moment, called Redemption Song.
I've read loads of books on Strummer/The Clash but god this one is detailed! Found out a lot of stuff I never knew before.
I'm also reading "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, as we're studying it at college at the moment. It's a pretty good book, but I've been told the ending is rubbish.

Jonathan Littell's Les Bienveillantes. Awesome book and a commercial phenomenon. 900 pages. Jonathan Littell (Robert Littell's son) is an American writer who wrote his book directly in French. The sales have been impressive : 300'000 copies have already been sold in three months. Littell was totally unknown. The book will be soon translated into English. It's been awarded 2 weeks ago with the most important French literary prize (Prix Goncourt).
The main character is a nazi officer who tells without remorse all the things he did and saw during World War II... The book has been compared with Tolstoi's War and Peace and Vassili Grossman's Life and Destiny.
It's literally breathtaking.

i finished reading KISS behind the mask a while ago but very good book really funny now i'm reading THE DIRT by Motly Crue BEST BOOK EVER  funnier than hell but kinda sad too it tell about the life and times of Tommy Nikki Mick and Vince its really really really good i advise any one to read it if they are a fan or not and if there 11 or older deffinatly not a book for lil' kids -\m/ THE DIRT \m/- ~by Motley Crue~ get it now  |

I recently read both "Eragon" and "Eldest" only to discover that they are mediocre books that have little or no originality at all. The fact that the guy hasn't been sued is nothing short of a miracle  "Catcher In The Rye" was great, thought provoking book that really shouldn't be missed  Currently reading: "His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass" - So far pretty good  |

"King Dork" by Frank Portman - a great, fun read.
"The Zero"by Jess Walter. Loved "Citizen Vince," but I'm so anxious for this one to be over. The main character has memory gaps and the story is told from his perspective - every few pages, the scene abruptly shifts to new characters and places with little to no explanation as to what the hell's going on.

Currently reading: "His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass" - So far pretty good? I absolutely love this book.? It's called 'The Northern Lights' where I come from ( waaayyyy better name imo) and the story is just fantastic.? If you like it, make sure you read the whole trilogy! I'm reading 'Heart of Darkness' right now and enjoying it.? It's what Apocalypse Now was based on.? There's a lot of books I want to be reading at the moment but sadly I have to stick to what's on my course. Has anyone read 'Ulysses'?? It's a real challenge! |
