You seem to be in the know on the subject.
How does Good Omens compare to his other work?
What else of his would you recommend?

I actually haven't read Good Omens yet. I know it's highly touted by critics, fans and casual readers alike (but who listens to them anyway?).
So I don't know, try out the first Discworld novel, The Color of Magic. It might be the start of a long, lovely journey through the series for you.
Just to be clear now, I've only read a few of the man's novels. I'm not quite fanatical about him. Just a pleasantly suprised and satiated reader.

OK, thanks. I actually had someone just give me two discs filled with all his Audio books in MP3 format. I would prefer to read them though.

Dont know, im gonna go rent the movie tomorrow
so far though Kings novels are 10's and themovie versions seriously pale in comparison.
The movies absolutely suck compared to the novels
Shining sucks compared to book
Carrie sucks compared to book
cujo sucks compared to book
Pet Sematary sucks compared to book
so i expect the trend to continue

Shining sucks compared to book
Sorry pal, but that just ain't true. The book rules, but so does the film. I'd have to say they're on level ground - I love that Kubrick fucked around with the story for his film, that just helped make his version more unique. I really loved the book and rate it as one of the best things i've read, but i'd also rate the film as one of the best horrors of all time. In short, they're both fantastic.
In contrast, I found Carrie to be a bit of a let down in both mediums. The film sucked big time (so overrated) while the book was just a bit average. So the book wins, I guess.

The Shining the movie sucks compared to the book.
It doesnt show the great father Jack was, doesnt show the change in Jack, doesnt have all the great story of the book. Plus the way he dies in the book is WAYYYYYY better than the movie.
I found the novel of Carrie to be amazing.
Just watched Christine and compared to the novel it was horrible. no character development in the movie, they go totally away from the book and made it corny.

You should check out the tv version that came out in 98 I think .
I think King is a good writer but the cat can be pretty fucking long winded.

I am about 150 pages into Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis and it is phenomenal. its so awesome hearing about his life.
I never knew that Hillell and Jack Irons quit the same day the Chili's got their first recording contract.

Finished Scar Tissue and this is probably my favorite book on celebrities.
I didnt realize Anthony was such a drug addict, I had no idea how bad he was, I just hope he doesnt relapse anymore, after reading "Scar Tissue" u can never be so sure.
Great book, very inspirational and very touching. I loved it and highly recommend it.
Next novel im gonna tackle will probably be "One Door Away From Heaven" by Dean Koontz

Just finished the WWE ghostwritten Eddie Guerrero story "Cheating Death Stealing Life."
It was so sad how much shit Eddie went through and how fondly he spoke of his friends and wife only to have it end so suddenly last year.

Finally read Odd Thomas and Forever Odd by Dean Koontz. Loved both of them but liked the first better. So many good characters in the first that by the nature of the story, couldnt be in the second.
Next, I'll either finish Godfather Returns, or start Life Expectancy
