why didnt you like it? Because he doesnt win in the end?
Yes. That hopeless ending that mice defeat the freedom of mind (and Love)
left really bad aftertaste.

I just finished the Da Vinci Code this weekend. Amazing book which is going to lead me into researching some of the topics brought up in the story.
I would highly recommend "A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole

Matt88, start at the beginning with The Hobbit then go from there. If you hurry you might get all of them done before The Hobbit gets released to theaters

Dont mind MCT... he's a literary elitist
Well I meant to start reading Frankenstein but work & sundry has dragged me down, and I only got as far as the Author's Introduction. The author being Mary Shelley of course. Her recount of her dream that inspired the story is startling and sent a shiver down my spine.

ahh, I was hoping you'd tell me
You see I read a few many years ago in one of those filthy college campus cafetarias, and I loved them. It was about a boy magician and his trials & tribulations (you're thinking Harry Potter, but it's much darker than that). One day I shall seek them out again.

Currently rereading Jordan's Wheel of Time series... Book 7
Also rereading King's "On Writing".
I prefer King to Koontz, but I like both...I find King's dialogue much more believable and I find it easier to get lost in his work and have to take a minute to come back to reality when I close the book.
You should try Ramsey Campbell...his late 80's to late 90's horror is excellent, the novel "Silent Children" is very good, and the "Alone With the Horros" anthology is really scary. Campbell's use of description is creepy, almost hallucinatory. It's a bit slow, very British in style (he's an Englishman), but it actually makes me jump at shadows for a day or two after reading. I recommend "The Parasite", "Night of the Claw", and "Nazareth Hill" in particular.

Now, now SLCPunk ... in all fairness, if you want him off your back, stay off his ... and what's the point in making yourself look stupid by getting into a pissing match with him?
On a side note, I'm pretty sure he was just joshing D.

Wasn't it MCT who reported...the other guy?
Oh dammit, I'm confused now. Maybe I couldn't read the thing correctly. Or maybe you didn't even post that because of the report, and the similar wording is just coincidence...
