I haven't picked up a monograph in while, but two of my favorites are Churchill's memoirs "The Second World War" and Shelby Foote's "The Civil War"(the first volume is the best; the third is too tragic).

I actually just checked out a book called "Empress." It's an interesting read. Alot of the parts I have a hard time understanding, but some parts make me sad too, rofl.

It's interesting. I also recently got done reading memoirs of a geisha... better than the movie 10x.

i'm reading No Country For Old Men, its pretty good so far. i've seen the movie and the coen brothers did not deviate much from the book. not a bad thing tho. its pretty good so far, although u have to get used to the way Cormac McCarthy writes.

I'm actually reading the 4th Harry Potter hihi Basically just to learn English. But those stories are pretty good anyway, a bit childish but I don't care.

I also hope I'll get Stephen E. Ambroses "Citizen Soldiers" for Christmas.. I'm really interested in WWII, and I really enjoyed Ambroses "Band of Brothers" -book (and the mini series too!)

I picked up Paul Auster's In the Country of Last Things yesterday. Very intense. I like it. I only read about 40 pages so far.

I can remember watching this when I was a kid.  It was the most scarey movie to me due to the fact I hated vampires to begin with.  When I think of it now, I must rate it excellent.

Salem's Lot is my favorite book by King. I read it 5 times! I'll never be fed up with it. I never saw the movie though... I don't know if it's any good...  I read Christine and when I saw the movie I was very  disappointed. All the atmosphere from the book was gone.  Sad
