Om...what?

I normally don't read religious literature, but this drew my interest because it deals with a very vague part of the bible. It's something that I'm fascinated with.

How was it (the Anne Rice)?

The closest that I have to text books for college at the moment are Homer's Odyssey, Euripides' Medea and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

I guess, it could be a lot worse.   Cool

Just started reading the Holy Bible for the first time this morning..

After reading the first book and a half of the Conversations with God trilogy, Ive had alot of questions about God and my own existence floating round my mind and last few days..

So anyways, I was at my buddy's house friday night drinking with the boys, and after everyone was passed out and me and my other friend Matt were still up pounding them back, we got into literally a 9 hour conversation about God, the origins of our exsitence, how Lucifer fell from heaven, and the gift of Free Choice...

It was easily the most inspiring and thought-provoking conversation Ive had in ages and I thought, alright, no point in holding out any longer on getting the dirt straight from the holiest of holy books..This hour when I started Genesis, I told myself If I couldnt get into, I wouldnt push it, and before I knew it, the fire on the stove was a pile of dying coals.. hihi

Any thoughts on what I can expect after I finish this beast of a book?

It was interesting reading about how Jesus had to come to terms with who he was (at such a young age--7 years old) and how the world around him would react because of it. His parents wanted to protect him from the truth, so he could have a normal childhood, but other people wanted him to know, so he could help heal those in need.
