Oh, I just assumed that he did, given that he wrote the first (four?, yeah) twenty+ years ago, and then went back to finish the final three.

Yeah, The Stand is on my 'to read' list...A list that is firmly in my head.

I will read it though, and be sure to tell you what I think.

The last book I read was Motley Crue's The Dirt...not the best book I've ever read, but damn sure the most interesting.  Some of my other favs are Ball Four by Jim Bouton and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton.  Jurassic Park the movie was awesome, but the book is so much better.

Hi... Why don't you recommend us a book?  Some book that changed your point of view about something or someone....

I recomend you the brief horror story,  "The Call of Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft, its an interesting story about a the cult to a demon that lives undersea...  You might like it , even when its a soft terror tale...

Hatter Fox.  Probably no one has heard of it, but when I was in high school I had an english teacher who told me that if I didn't read any other book the entire year, read that one.  So I did, and he was right.  It had such an impact on me, it literally changed my life.  It is the reason I have a psychology degree now.  Its not about psychology exactly, but it shows you how someone's childhood pain can turn them into a damaged adult, and also how someone can come back from that.  I actually believe that reading that book made me a better person.  I'd recommend it to anyone, but with a warning,  its not a happy story.

Just finished "The Last Juror" by John Grisham, next will probably be "King of Torts" by Grisham.

Last Juror was a good read but most of the drama was complete halfway through. It was good to get some back story of some of the "A Time To Kill" characters (Lucien Wilbanks played by Donald Sutherland and Harry Rex played by Oliver Platt).

King, later, did remake this movie to be more in line with his book, but you've gotta admit that even though the original(Stanley Kubrick),  didn't follow the book to the letter, Jack Nicholson  made up for that with a powerhouse performance. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeereeeeeeeeeeeee's Johnny!

Don't be such a purist!? Tongue

The film is fucking incredible. I don't care that he changed the book. From a movie perspective, it's a work of art.

Oh, and D...
