The frustration thread - about Chinese Democracy

Almost eight Tuesdays left, no? 

I think it's this year more than ever but every passing week I grow weary of an announcement from management telling us "spring '07, last-minute work was needed on the album." 

sad but true, but everything else is going as planned, i mean i remember back when the hammerstein shows were announced around that time there was talk of the plan being playing the warm up shows, touring europe, then coming back for a north american tour in the fall. all that has happened. and then of course we have the leaks. and lets face it, axl was able to keep all that music from leaking for all these years then three demos all of a sudden pop up and then we have tour dates announced??? and one of the demos happens to be a song axl talked about at the korn release party and is now the expected single?? what a coincidence! ? i think everything that happened this year was completely planned out.  i think all signs still point to a release this year. soon though we have to hear something soon.

All this is true, and I don't think Axl has any intention of letting us down. However, some disturbing facts remain. The world don't run on Axl Rose and miracles, but on schedules, orders, production, marketing and money. I know some think it's possible for the album to drop next week or tommorow, but it just ain't. There's alot of stuff that needs to be sorted out from the moment Axl gives the record to the label and to the point if's actually released. How much time that's needed is a little unclear, but we're talking atleast a month.

Ballpark figure, if nothing happens in the next 2 weeks, a release this year is simply out of the question.

Merck's comment about "just dropping it one day" or whatever was a joke and they would never be able to do that. Geffen would never approve of it and it would literally be impossible since stores have to be made aware of incoming albums or else they don't receive the orders, simple as. If they release the album randomly no stores would have a place for it and wouldn't even have orders placed to receive it.

I think the music will come out during the first quarter of the new year and then they will tour again during the spring and summer!!!! It could be that they are doing these dates to gauge audience reception and interest. And you know how marketing machines super hype everything to the point where you are ready to explode - I think this is what they are trying to do - it's been so long they probably think most fans forgot so they are making us wait, wait, wait in anticipation until we explode and then finally the disc comes out. Plus, you want to see how it's going to be to work with people before you embark on a non-stop trip around the world where you're with these people for months at a time. I know I'd only want the best! And MF's that could put up with me!

Have faith, I don't think they can afford to let the fans down. No music will piss people off more than the time they choose to take the stage! And stay safe by ordering the first release home from your computer - let the mailman take the risk of delivering it to you!

I hate pirating stuff.   I have a few downloaded tracks (it's legal up here) but typically I always like to give the artist (and record company  ) their due.

But yeah - in this case I'd be more tempted to download

Hey, I don't want to bring anybody down.. but do you guys believe in Karma?

The past year..without a doubt has been the worst year of my entire life...

I had severe back problems...followed with SEVERAL other serious health issues (which have not entirely gone away) ..plus... I failed all my exams... and I had a horrible hellish relationship with a girl who kind of brought me down...

This was non stop for a year... 

now my back is ok, the devil woman is gone...( though some health problems remain).. and I was thinking... maybe karma would eventually give me something back as a result of all my suffering, and stupid me , I thought about chinese democracy... the one material thing Ive been waiting for so long... one that would mean a personal accomplishment... YES , I mean PERSONAL ! cause Ive been waiting, and supporting... and even if axl or merck or every other stupid motherfucker doesnt recognize it, chinese democracy will mean an accomplishment for a lot of people !
But no..

Chinese democracy is not here ...
It seems the most horrible year of my life will be closed just as it was.....FUCKED UP !
So .... either I get good karma for once and I chidem is released ...
Or.......Chinese democracy is not released and bad karma continues..
