BILLBOARD: A HUGE PART OF THE BOOK IS GUNS AS YOU'RE TOURING AND THE TARDINESS OF AXL ROSE. WAS THERE EVER ANY EXPLANATION OF WHAT WAS BEHIND THAT?
SLASH: There's no mention of that in the book at all because it's not my place. In other words, if there was some sort of history that was common knowledge, it would be different. Because there was no real logic behind any of it, the only thing I could do was sort of put the facts there the way I saw it. There could be a lot of stuff that I don't know about that goes on even behind the scenes, behind the scenes, behind the scenes.
this response i like, the question is annoying though. It's questions like this which are the main reason behind fueds existing between ex band members.

It'll come out though. It will.
Yay! If Slash says so now I do believe it will come out one day! ?
Thanks for sharing the interview... can?t wait till I have that book. ?
I wonder if the usual people will come out claiming "Slash Lies!" now.

I'm sure that once the book is out and has been read, there will be huge controversies all over the place, here. I can hardly wait.....

That was awfully detailed for someone who can't remember 75% of what went on then.
Interesting read, though.

Slash has talked about that golf overdose incident before, ive read it... must be clear in his mind. I hope he wrote about the st louis riot thing, I remember reading that there was an ugliness in the air, would be interesting to read about the before stuff.

Well, that was an interesting read.Though, I don't think that I would have admitted to the episodes of toxic psychosis, but I guess it is part of the public record.

I thought that he'd met Renee (wife number 1) when he was in Chicago?
anyway there is one seriously bizzare picture in the magazine that this article is in...it's only small so i don't know if it'll scan. But it looks as if Slash has his pants round his knees and Perla is kissing is arse....at least i hope that's what she's doing!!!!! BTW its in Vegas and it looks (by the state of him round about 2000 and the Snakepit era). if it'll scan i'll post it later.

Re-read my post. I never said it didn't happen. I just find that level of detail curious considering how he said he can't remember 75% of what went on during the time period he is trying to set straight. Maybe those are just some incidents that stuck in his memory for some reason. We'll see.
