When Slave to the grind came out it pretty much separated them from the hair metal pack. It was much heavier and had more substance than crap like Poision and Winger.

Warrant was actually talented, but Cherry Pie pretty much killed their career as a band to be taken seriously.

Exactly.  Anybody comparing Poison to Skid Row is very ignorant on the subject.

Warrant had some very good tracks, and Lane was pissed about the Cherry Pie song since he was forced to write it for there to be a "sure fire hit" on the record.

I'm in the UK so will probably end up ordering it off ebay (seems like the cheapest option).I'll have to make sure it;s the explicit version i'm ordering though. Also was it released in a jewel case or digipack? I heard the promo was in a digipack but i don't want to order a promo! Thanks

digipack.?

Really? Damn I hate those things. Plus this version definately looks like it's in a jewel case:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEBASTIAN-BACH-ANGEL-DOWN-SEALED-CD-NEW-2007-AXL-ROSE_W0QQitemZ300174950120QQihZ020QQcategoryZ307QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That is an Argentinian import though so maybe the european edition is in a jewel case.

are you trying to tell me 'youth gone wild' and '18 and life' arent hair metal?Huh? those songs got more in common with 'nothin but a good time' by poison than 'master of puppets'

The 1st album was a bit on the hairspray side of things - Slave to the grind was a welcome change of direction.

In the scheme of things they were nothing alike but at the end of the day what does it matter?  The new CD is GOOD and it is a welcome change from all the crap that gets released these days as "rock."

If you lived through the time you would know but instead you are living off what someone told you that may not truly be the case.

Just downloaded the three tracks with Axl on from I-Tunes, the only one that I really liked was 'Stuck Inside'.
Not too surprising to see that Axl had a co-writting credit on this, didn't know this before i listened to it as it sounds the most like something GN'R would put out now, a bit like the lovechild of  'Better' and 'Oh My God'.

The other tracks are good but in all honesty I enjoy Seb Bachs presence and performances at the concerts last year but I'm more of an Axl man.
After listening to all these Chinese Democracy demos it's nice to hear Axl as he'd want us too, His voice still has it and I never doubted it!  peace

the reason he got a co-writing credit is because he wrote his own lines

Hey i got my copy in melb australia today from JB Hifi... ok

I got mine in sydney today, and I was looking to see promo/whatnot for it,

and I had to ask the guy that worked their,
and I said "do you have the angel down cd, by sebastian bach"?

And he goes, let me go have a look on the computer,

comes back and says "yeh I should do , its over here, it was listed under SKID ROW"

so , figure that one out,

But yeh, cool cd, By your side sounds sweet,
but probably been marinated in pro tools for a few years...

^I don't remember when I heard him do it, but at some point I heard Bach sing that song on a radio program live...and it sounded damn good.  It was a while back though.  He's still got a very good voice...he's not Axl, but who the hell is?   hihi

Got my copy on friday. I'm diggin it. Its nothing like I thought it would be. The songs he played from this album on tour sounded alot different, not as heavy.

Axl sounds awesome but I cant really hear him in bitchslap and stuck inside.
