One thing i did read in the book that i did question was the information regarding the first Snakepit record. Did that album sell a million copies Huh I think out of the solo albums i could be wrong but i thought Gilby's Pawnshop guitars sold roughly 150,000, Izzy and the Ju Ju Hounds disk sold around 100,000 and Duff's Believe In Me sold around 75,000. Not sure about Slash's i would assume his probably sold the most just for the fact that Slash's name is the most recognizable.  Not sure about the Neurotic Outsiders, Loaded etc.

Does anyone have the numbers sold on the solo stuff and side bands Huh I have always wondered about that. The numbers i posted above are just estimates i read years ago on another board.

That was what i was thinking. The book says 1 million that is why they (Geffen) pulled the plug on the tour, they made there money according to the book and they saw no more need to tour. I never heard of such a thing but i guess it was a measure to get Slash back to the Guns camp. Huh

I am still searching the net trying to find some numbers. Pawnshop Guitars might have sold the most as 'Cure Me or Kill Me was a moderate success. I recall hearing that song quite alot. Shuffle IT All and Believe in Me also got quite a bit of air play aswell. I also remember seeing the video's for Shuffle it All and Believe In Me quite a bit, i vaguely remember seeing the video for Cure Me. It would just be interesting to see some accurate numbers for all of those releases.

Are the numbers you are talking about USA numbers or worldwide?  Got to watch where the information comes from and it they specify that.  I know the USA is the biggest market...but worldwide sales may double the actual numbers.

It hasn't been certified gold or platinum, so maybe they meant total world wide sales......

If I remember right I did send emails to Keri Kelli (and he did answer too:-) some maybe 7-9 years ago concerning sales of Snakepit album/albums, if I am able to find those old emails gonna put em/his answers here hm donno if I am able to do it since had then different/old computer then... will see gonna let you know, I'll do my best  Wink

Btw someone did write in this board some time ago something about those Gilby Clarkes videos/videotape they sold in Gilbys official page in the middle of 90s.  I just wonder if that tape is rare or not cos I bought it then from his fanclub...

Have been also wondering lately that if this sample/promo tape you were able to get from Slash's Snakepits fanclub/fanbuss in the end of 90s when band (Snakepit) was touring with AC/DC so how rare is that one? Haven?t seen that item for exaple on ebay for long long time. In this tape there were some messages from Slash n some "soundclips" from this 2nd Snakepitalbum.

Btw people were asking liveversions of some Gilbys songs... I personally love those versions of "Cure me or kill me..." that he did with Snakepit in 1995, have video (Chicago??) where they did it with 3guitars (Slash, Eric and Gilby) and Gilby did vocals and Eric backroundvocals n that was amazing....

N once again sorry for my bad English...hope you still understand what I am saying...

I remember the first Snakepit charted at #70 in the US, Duff's first album had charted in somewhere betweek #170 and 190 I think-I doubt any of them sold a million here in the US. I remember for the first time hearing there would be a Snakepit record was through Metal Edge magazine-same with Duff-it was really the only way to hear about them was through monthly magazines like that-my has the internet changed things

Not quite sure about the total numbers, but I know for sure that Snakepit V1 sold 1,000,000 copies world wide, but not in America.
