Sorry but after reading what I could of it, I'm not signing it. For one its not an offical petetion. And second I don't see GNR and Velvet Revolver playing before or after each other on the same night. Maybe different nights. Sorry.

It's only a petition made by a fan, which will be sent to the R.I.R. website.
What's the problem with helping other fans from another country? I don't get it...
And, YES, it will be impossible to have all those bands together at the same event,
but at least they will see what bands people are willing to watch live here.
Because this is suppose to be a rock n' roll event, we don't see the point in having Ivete Sangalo, Alejandro Sanz or Juanes in it! It's almost absurd to think about it...

Hello... i'm portuguese to ... and i'm the one o made this petition some month ago. At the begining i did not sent my identification, so they blocked the link.
I already sent my identification, a long time ago, that's why the petition it's still online ... i don't know why that messege still's there...

But... what does it matters? It's just a fan petition to send to RIR 2008 organization ... so...?

The petition itself I could understand, we all wanna see GN'R! But then you start wishing for VR to be there and it's just too much....

It's just a wish, we're not demanding anything to anyone.
A petition can be also a sugestion and it can also help the organization to see that rock bands should be the main part of this event with its fans, and not just the artists that they insist to put there in our face, as if they have anything to do with a rock festival.
If you send emails to them, they will respond and thank you for your sugestion, do you know that?
But if we think of having some impact to demonstrate what we don't really like in a rock event, that can be a petition, I guess.
And, Jarmo, Guns N' Roses are our favorite band. Other bands in the petition are only some other sugestions, to show them what people would like to see.
If you don't like the idea... just don't sign anything at all. Fine. But you shouldn't offend anyone.

I'm "offended" that somebody would use the GN'R name to get GN'R fans to sign a petition which isn't just about getting GN'R to play.

People, you need to calm down.  There is no malicious intent in the petition.  I think something may be getting a bit lost in translation due to a language issue.  It's simply a petition for people who want to see the bands they love.  It is also a valid site as I have signed many petitions that came from there, it is not spam or an e-mail collector in any way. 

Granted I don't think VR and GNR will ever be playing on the same bill but I don't think any harm was intended by it at all.

 You are way into this... I never once trashed the idea of the petition... I just am wary of such things. I had all my emails hacked into once... so for myself I prefer to protect myself. Those addresses on my profile are old also.... they were the ones that got hacked, I have not used them for years.
