Recent mini tour - Albums delay

It was the "Chinese Democracy World Tour"....just google it, it's all over the place....t-shirts, venue listings, ticket stubs....etc.

I can't help but feel that the recent mini tour was nothing more than a display to let the record companies know what the band is about.

Oh, and I thought the band played for the fans, not for the record company....

It'd be real nice if the band put an album out for the fans......I think the reason for the mini tour is for the exact same reason as all the other tours......to let the WORLD know that GNR is back.  When the album hits stores, people like my old roomate or other friends who went to the 2002 shows will probably remember the concert and go out and buy CD, when they otherwise may not have had they not had the reference of recently seeing them live and rocking.

It was! We have been through all of this before. My 4 tickets for the Australian shows say "The Chinese Democracy World Tour 2007". The loud speakers with a recordered security messages at the Brisbane show announced it over and over again as "The Chinese Democracy World Tour".

It was. Case closed!

Now that you mention 2002....I know this has been mentioned before but I was wondering if anyone around here knows the REAL reason Axl didn't show up in Philly and ended up canceling the rest of the tour along with the comeback?

As far as I know the reason has never been given. I think it's one of the things that still has some legall stuff going on  Truth is I don't think we will ever know the reason.

As I said in the past, the Australian promoter decided to use that name. The Japanese or Mexican legs were not called that.

So just stick to the facts, the band never called the 2007 tour that.

well, they don't need a cd to put on a kickass show.    i want the album as bad as the next guy, but overanalyzing dumb things like the name of the tour and what time axl wakes up is just beyond ridiculous.   I dont care what they call the tour.   I dont care if they dont have the album out and they want to entertain the fans.

Yeah. It doesn't really matter what the tour is called or what time the show starts. Once that intro starts playing, you know you'll get a kick ass show.

I've been fortunate enough to have seen more than one show on the tour and it still feels the same every time I see them.

The excitement.

And seeing a bunch of others who you know are there for the same reason as yourself having a great time....



Regarding the album, I still believe that once the band has something to say, they will do so.

We've gotten some small updates from Baz lately. So it's not like nothing is happening.
