Eagles Double Up On 'Long Road Out Of Eden'
The Eagles' new album, "Long Road Out of Eden," will be a double-disc affair, Billboard.com has learned. The 20-song set is due Oct. 30 exclusively via Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stories in North America, as well as the band's Web site.
A physical copy of the group's first studio album in 28 years will be priced at $11.88; digitally, it will cost a dollar less. Fans who pre-order "Long Road Out of Eden" through the Wal-Mart, Sam's Club or Eagles Web sites will receive an immediate download of the album's first single, "How Long."
Album tracks include the seven-minute "Waiting in the Weeds" and "Last Good Time in Town," the 10-minute-plus title cut and the Glenn Frey-penned "No More Cloudy Days," which previously appeared on the 2005 live DVD "Farewell 1 Tour -- Live From Melbourne."
The Eagles will be back on stage in October during a six-night stand with the Dixie Chicks as part of the opening of the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. An extensive tour will follow next year.
Here is the track list for "Long Road Out of Eden":
Disc one:
"No More Walks in the Wood"
"How Long"
"Busy Being Fabulous"
"What Do I Do With My Heart"
"Guilty of the Crime"
"I Don't Want To Hear Anymore"
"Waiting in the Weeds"
"No More Cloudy Days"
"Fast Company"
"Do Something"
"You Are Not Alone"
Disc two:
"Long Road Out of Eden"
"I Dreamed There Was No War"
"Somebody"
"Frail Grasp on the Big Picture"
"Last Good Time in Town"
"I Love To Watch a Woman Dance"
"Business As Usual"
"Center of the Universe"
"It's Your World Now"
It's too bad Walsh's 'One Day At A Time' didnt make it on there

Classic rock band The Eagles are to play a one-off private gig in London at a 2,300-capacity venue.
Tickets, which are reported to cost up to ?950 plus VAT, will not be available to the public - only to invited members of the music industry.
A spokeswoman for the event said the "once in a lifetime gig" had been set up to coincide with the launch of their new album, Long Road Out of Eden.
It will take place in the Indigo venue inside the O2 arena on 31 October.
Some of the tickets will include hospitality packages.
The band, who split in 1980, are one of the most successful recording acts of all time.
Their new album, to be released the day before the show, will feature their first new material since Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit released The Long Run in 1979.
The band, best known for the song Hotel California, reunited for live shows in 1994.
Since then they have staged several lucrative tours and released occasional new singles as part of live albums.

Henley on Wal-Mart deal
October 25, 2007 - 8:28 am
Don Henley says The Eagles exclusive distribution deal with Wal-Mart will be good for the environment because "I have a direct line now to the CEO of Wal-Mart. We're certainly making our feelings known in terms of ecological stewardship and some of the practices of big business that are undesirable and wasteful." Henley and the band have come under criticism about the fact that their new album "Long Road Out of Eden" will be available exclusively at the giant retailer, which has been targeted by many on the left for a multitude of reasons. Henley however says critics have blown this all out of proportion, saying "You would have thought we made a deal with the devil. We caught plenty of flak. Some of my environmental friends are a little upset because we made this deal." The album is out on October 30th.

You don't like Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, or Prince?
I have only heard How Long from the album, I like it.
I'll get it soon. (the album)

I am really bummed out that I missed them. (They played six shows here.)
But I'm sure they will come back. How many farewell tours have they had?

So sad to hear about Glenn. I was fortunate enough to see them in Toronto on my 16th birthday, (10 years ago wow). Was a pure professional show, Amazing setlist and sounded flawless, Glenn had some great comedy, the credit card song (Take it to the limit) and man I wish I could have seen them again...Amazing how many hits they wrote...
Whats your favourite Eagles song? Mine would have to be Desperado or Take It Easy
Bob Seger did a great interview with Billboard about his buddy Glenn Frey, Also does anyone remember him dancing in one of the songs from the farewell 1 dvd? Guy was a class act
