Well, that won't go very well in LA.
If he gets 20 people for his book signing at the Wiskey next week, he'll be lucky....

are you serious? i have no idea, but i would think the turnout would be even better there than in nyc.

Lame culture, lazy and bored (and stoned alot of the time) people, saturated market - that's Hollywood for you.

There's a reason most celebs choose to live in the LA area and that's not just the good weather. It's because almost nobody cares about them. Except paparazzi who have to make a living....but they are all too busy following Britney Spears or Paris Hilton, so some outdated rocker shouldn't need to worry.

You can walk into 5 random Hollywood clubs on the Sunset strip on a Wed night and see dozens of "legendary" rockers performing at the same time in front of 50 people who got in for just $10 or less.

BTW, an LA friend told me that Slash's book signing appearance at the Whiskey is being advertized on the LA Weekly as performance.....This is most likely BS, but again, who cares in LA??

So, how much was the book at B&N in NYC? It's about $15 on amazon new and shortly one will most likely to buy it used for less than $10......
Not saying it's not worth to pay $20 or more for a book with a autograph but at least make it personable....and let people take a damn picture.....

Legendary GUNS N' ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash was a guest on "The Jim Kerr Rock n Roll Morning Show" on New York City's Q104.3 on Wednesday (October 31) to promote his self-titled memoir "Slash". Download the interview in the MP3 audio format at this location (6.3 MB).
