good god. sorry but NO axl isnt testing security measures! he just wont release the fucker. because people are getting in the way, coz he's not happy with the sound, because he an the record company cant agree terms, whatever. it isnt out and thats that. its really annoying, but please lets stop coming out with sympathetic fantasies about why we STILL dont have it.

well we dont know why we don't have it.? ?so speculation is pointless.? All we do know is he is getting some music out to the fans this year, even if its not his own album.? ?

that was kinda my point. i dont really care about a few guest vocals here n there. im not that desparate. ill probli still listen to them tho LOL!

its Axl Rose and Baz on 3 songs.... how could any GNR fan not be interesteD?  Huh   I haven't been this pumped for an album in a few years.   I used to be excited about CD but its hard to be pumped about that until there is actually a firm release date set.

If I was to speculate.. something is holding up GnR's album.  Thats pretty obvious.   So this is Axl's way of getting some music out to the fans in the meantime while the issues are being sorted out.    I could be wrong I guess.

Jesus...some of you people don't know how to simply read, understand and respond. However, too many of you have 'trash talkin' down to a science. I realize there are BIGGER issues surrounding the non-release of CD. That's NOT my point at all. The thread's title isn't "Why has CD not been released: My Theory." I'm not defending anyone/thing about the lack of CDs release. While I'd love to have it in my hand, I've got plenty more important things in my life than music. So don't accuse me of using 'sympathetic fantasies' to defend Axl. It's a message board...to discuss ideas, thoughts, etc. I simply found it odd that none of the 'Angel Down' songs featuring Axl had been leaked and, if others agreed, I simply threw out a theory that perhaps there were some new or tighter security measures on the AD tracks...perhaps similar security measures that might accompany (NOT 'hold up') CD when it is finally released. Nothing more. If you don't agree with my theory, fine. Explain. Discuss. But don't try to belittle me for having one and don't try to disguise it as something it's not in order for the shit that comes out of your mouth to make sense.

Somebody lock this thread...it's a fuckin' shame that when given a great communication tool like this, people still care more about the importance of their own opinions and their image than the innocence and enjoyment of simply sharing and discussing ideas and thoughts about a common subject (in this case, Guns N' Roses).

Im still not 100 percent sure Axl will end up on Angel Down.

U never know, the record label could sue to stop Axl from appearing on this album. I just wonder if all of that has been agreed upon?

I wouldn't think Universal would want the first recordings of Axl to appear on Sebastian's album and not on Chinese Democracy.

So.......... I still have my fingers crossed but won't be surprised if something happens stopping this.

Well, it's literally weeks away from the release, so I think that at this point any legal or label-related issues would be resolved.

Plus, that Paul Cashmere already heard an advanced copy of the record, so I think that is proof enough that it is going down.

I actually think Axl can do as many sideprojects as he wants, Universal has nothing to do with it.

They only care about releasing the record and getting money back from Axl (let him tour and stuff).

Exposure is good anyway, good or bad.

Yeah but the public have been waiting to hear axl for over a decade and a half.

Kind of a shame for it to be on a Sebastian Bach album and not a GNR record dont u think?

Erm...you gave an opinion. i told you i thought that opinion was nonsense. im not at all sure what you mean about the caring about image point. and the importance of my opinions...? You thought yours was important enough to start a thread for. the above quote is a massive overreaction.

Sebastian's label have decided not to release any advance copies specifically becuase of Axl's involvement in the album.

I dont think it was leaked, but released to radio rather. It didnt seem like the station recieved it illegally.

Interesting take, I doubt it would've been done intentionally.  But IF everything goes off without a hitch, no leaks, etc. of Angel Down.  I bet Axl would use similar measures to release Chinese Democracy, thus increasing our chances of ever hearing it.
