"I knew the storm was getting closer!"

« on: October 25, 2007, 07:13:50 PM »

Is it possible that Axl sees 'Angel Down' as an oppotunity to test new securities in the recording industry BEFORE he begins to let CD out of the bag? I mean, sure it's probably just good publicity and nothing more. But I find it strange that Axl's songs (or any, for that matter) on 'Angel Down' haven't leaked yet. I realize there's not as big of a demand for the former Skid Row frontman's album, but there's been SO much talk of 'Angel Down' and the fact that Axl sings on three songs....I really would have thought these songs would have leaked by now.

Just a thought.

Bring on 'Back in the Saddle!' (a very fitting tune for Axl to be singing on IMO)

I would love to see the press all over it when it's released.  It would just be too good of timing for some Gn'R news after Bach's cd comes out.  I'd imagine that it will leak sometime soon.  Doesn't everything leak now?

everything usually leaks, but some studios prevent it.

It might just leak at the latest the weekend before its out

I doubt it would leak this early, Avenged Sevenfolds album leaked last Friday, and it comes out on Tuesday, so if it doesn't leak by November 15th or so, maybe then we can be amazed.

i know that nothings leaked from bazs new album, but i do know a guy that has access to it. And really he's an asshole so i don't talk to him much at all.

I hope it doesn't leak so that Axl has some extra encouragement to release CHINESE DEMOCRACY and then finally I can change my name Grin

I'm not sure I explained my topic correctly. In this day of nearly all media (music, film, television, etc.) leaking even partially before it's released, I'm sure it is of great concern to many artists and producers. I know different tactics have been used in the past to avoid leaking (early releases, etc.), but it seems artists really need to stay three steps ahead of the leakers at all times and constantly reinvent new ways of protecting their material. So...figuring Axl will do most anything in his power to avoid having CD leaked before it's release (a pretty reasonable assumption, I think) would it be possible that he has a definite security plan for it's release and is using the same plan with Baz's record FIRST as a test run?

I know, I know...grasping at straws...is it Friday yet?

honestly Baz's cd isn't up with the big Fish in the music biz, i don't even know if it'll be shipped to stores around the world on that date.

The Fact that Axl is on it may give it a buz in the metal comunity, but without some Movie Soundtrack or other strong media support i don't see the cd goin far.

and who cares about leaks, we're all gonna buy the album anyway...

Baz isn't exactly a small fish tho.

He's bigger than Skid Row is without him.

do u know how many albums skid row sold from their last 2 records? even you can be bigger than the skids if you release anything. skid row is dead. sebastian's solo career is just starting, he recorded 1 album with live songs and a couple of originals, and although he's one hell of a front man, he never was a songwriter - snake and bolan did most of the writing in skid.
i'm  abig sebastian and skid row fan, but it's only the fact that Axl's singing on the record that'll make me look for the album once it's available, otherwise i would end listining to it anyway, but with the same attention i give to a new album by tesla or dokken.

good god. sorry but NO axl isnt testing security measures! he just wont release the fucker. because people are getting in the way, coz he's not happy with the sound, because he an the record company cant agree terms, whatever. it isnt out and thats that. its really annoying, but please lets stop coming out with sympathetic fantasies about why we STILL dont have it.

well we dont know why we don't have it.   so speculation is pointless.  All we do know is he is getting some music out to the fans this year, even if its not his own album.
