Catcher In The Rye

« on: October 11, 2007, 10:10:45 PM »

Sebastian Bach got kicked off the show tonight, when asked if this was the end of his rapping career he said that he had an album, angel down coming out on November 20 with "Axl Rose, from Guns N' Roses singing on 3 tracks."

Of course, we know this information, its just a cool Axl mention on MTV.

It seems to me that SB seems more concerned about Axl....

Well at least he knows that Axl could garner him some attention.

Hey, if you've got a legend like Axl singing on your album, you mention it as often as possible.  Can only help his cause.

He sure is using Axl alot to promote his album. He must know that is the only way he can get people to buy his new album. Cant fault him though, Axl atleast guarentees him a gold record because there probably are 500k that want to hear what Axl sounds like on a studio recording.

Nothing wrong with Bach promoting his album and mentioning Axl at every opportunaty. Give the guy a chance,  what else do you expect him to say about his new album!!?  Roll Eyes

Just because Axl is on it doesn't guarantee shit, I can't wait to hear the 3 tracks with Axl and depending on what else i hear I may or may not buy the album....the Axl songs will probably be on the net or right here at HTGTH msg board on nov 20th. if thats not the case, then i'll probably gamble and buy the album in hopes that i might be pleasantly surprised by the rest of it. I'm sure the Axl tunes will be great!

From Rolling Stone...

Sebastian gave as much badditude while exiting the stage as he did performing on it. Forever handicapping Skid Row record sales in Red-state America, his first response to defeat at the polls was, ?I just want to say: America ? you suck!? He then went to plug his new album, Angel Down, which comes out in November and features Axl Rose, and did an impromptu rendition of ?Black Betty? with DMC. Bach also said a few touching words about his mentor Kurupt, a now best friend who always has his ?Bach.? But Bach could never say his goodbyes to his old genre, and the most telling behind the scenes Bachism was this: ?When someone tells me I?m rocking too hard, inside I?m going ?Fucking right I?m rocking too hard.? ?

I'm sure there's a reason he's mentioning Axl - to sell records!

I'd say the reason he's mentioning Axl - is to describe his new album! He is on 3 tracks, kinda significant.

Lets say Bach was allready popular and didn't need Axl to help him sell more records, would it then be ok for him to mention Axl's on his new album?!!  He's just letting people know for fuck sake! Any musican, popular or not is going to mention it!!! If Axl is still popular enough to help album sales, then great for Bach! Besides us few diehards alot of people won't buy Bach's album just cause Axl is on it.....but now if Bach could pull off another half dozen good songs then his album with Axl's help, could become a bit of a commercial success, which might not otherwise had happened.

But man some people are negative,  what do you expect Bach to do, keep the whole Axl thing a secret?   Roll Eyes

I kinda cringe when I see Slash do certain things that are lame (whether it's sensible or not), but I can't imagine anyone being as big a whore as Baz is lol Don't get me wrong I think Skid Row did some cool stuff, I love the Slave to the Grind album, but Baz hosts any countdown and goes on any show put under his nose. Fuckin Gilmore Girls! lol

i dont understand why some of you guys hate the fact that Baz talks about Axl. We talk about Axl and have friggin shrines/websites/fantasies dedicated to him....but just because he's a celeb, he's not aloud to talk about him?
