who uses their computer as their stereo also? What set up do you have? Do you use a dedicated sound card? Do you have it connected to a "normal" set of stereo speakers with an amp, or the made for computers kinda speakers, with a separate subwoofer...?

I just hook my computer output, to my systems A/V jacks... Been doin it for years

So you have your music on your pc, playing through your stereo? Any soundcard in the pc? If so does it make a diference? Whats the stereo system?

Just a regular sound card i guess.... I have an optimus(fisher) system... Its pretty basic... It goes right through the auxuliry imputs on the stereo

had some great set ups in teh past... ahhh student loans!!!...... now i just use headphones

but back in the day.... like im an old man LOL....we had the keeping up with the jones' one guy had his running from his comp to an old beat up amp and old speakers, and it sounded great. so everyone wanted to do it.

I picked up a Sony AMP.... cant remember teh model number any more.... it was 100w per channel and a Cerwin vega 10" down firing Sub, and picked up a set of PSB 2B shelf speakers.... they were a good buy @ about $300 a pair pushin IIRC 100w of beautifl sound Cheesy, oh and the rooms were 9'x15' concrete walls hehehehe my RA just loved me. I'm a gamer..... and UT was the game of the month, i was dog fighting a guy across the hall and sent a volley of 5 rockets at him in game, had the volume on like 35 out of 100, and the sub was neutral (vol was just high enough to activate the Sub, the rocket slamed into the wall near him and myself killing him in game, the sound of the explosion was so powerful that it rattled my window closed and knocked stuff over in the rooms around us as well as rattling the window ihis room some 40' away......

i got trumped though, the orgional guy got  a job at a audio store and picked up a new amp and some monster floor model conert looking cerwin vega's and a 12" sub...... bastard.....

ran a SoundBlaster Live! Audigy 5.1

now im running an intergrated 5.1, and realised that my board is too old and i cant run DDR2... sigh.....
