If you win, you're a winner.  If drinking makes you a loser, you're a loser.  But if you win, and then drink to celebrate, I think it makes you .500.

Non-drinkers never win.  They're too busy being self-righteous.

Ok. I didn't want to start a thread for this and I know I said I would post a pic of this wild tequila we got for christmas. I hope I do this right. It's called Romance Tequila because there is a dark tequila in the center and a light tequila outside. Makes a pretty good looking bong too!

Good tequila can be quite tasty.  I can't say I've delved too deeply, but a Mexican friend once shared a decent bottle with me.  Good stuff!

Freedom, at my brothers last weekend, he pulled out a couple of bottles of Balvenie (single barrel) and Oban. They were both good, but I preferred the peppery taste(peatyness?) of the Balvenie.

Hmmm...Oban tends to be peatier than Balvenie, so that probably wasn't what you were tasting.  Probably just another spice flavor.  And, Balvenie is probably the better malt, overall.

If you want to try one that's spicy/peppery, try Talisker 10 yr.  Not only is it a really top notch whisky, but it's widely available.  Of course, with all scotch (unless you know you generally love scotch) the best option is to lay down the $6-8 to try it in a nice quiet bar, first.  Nothing worse than buying a bottle of something and not liking it.

Knob Creek has a new packaging. It is suede with a nice leather patch. It is probably a limited run, so you might one to grab one while they can be had.
